Good Saturday morning! Just finished hubby's big biscuits and gravy breakfast and now it's time for me to sit down and enjoy my WADDB.

Still windy - I don't think it's every going to stop. Hope I can get out and do some work in the yard today. At least it's warm enough that I can have my windows open to the hummingbird porch and listen to the hummers twittering and chirping. Had to put up a second feeder yesterday.

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone.

I really need to get my hummingbird feeders out. I've got heather blooming, and a hanging fuchsia, but it would be nice to attract a few more of the little guys. Right now I have a female Varied Thrush pecking around in my flower beds. We rarely saw them in Campbell River because we were on the beach. Here I'm practically in the woods.

I spent the last couple of days setting up my backup laptop while the Alienware goes in for a new fan and a tune-up. Unfortunately the backup laptop was in dire shape, too, not having been turned on for a couple of years, and I've spent about 6 hours getting it to load properly and run well enough to use. The last thing I have left to do is connect the printer. I think I'll leave that until after lunch.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

hagatha, did you finally chuck that Razer laptop that gave you so much trouble?

No, I still have my Razer. I found Razer support to be chaotic and in the end I just gave up. However, I do plan to get it in to a repair shop. Otherwise it might be an idea just to wipe the system and start over since it was purely a gaming machine. It was a lovely little computer and it would be nice to have it for visits to my sister in Victoria.

The one I'm working on right now is a 6-year old cheapo Dell laptop that John bought me for photos, back when we were both using our cameras on the boat. It's really struggling for some reason, and there's now nothing on it of any value since it's all backed up, so I think it's the nuclear option for it tomorrow morning when my head is on straight. I need it for some legal stuff that I'll need to print while the Alienware is out of commission.

Dell says they can get my Alienware back to me within a week of my FedEx-ing it, so it won't be too long anyway.

Well, that's good news anyway for the Alienware! I shudder to think about being without my computers!

Good morning Gerry, Connie, Hagatha, Draclvr, Dan, Marian and everyone. The DDWAB and the no-calorie DDB is an excellent start of the Sunday. Though Ms. Sun is absent today. Mr. Rain is still here. Rumor is Ms. Sun will arrive sometime in May. eek

Good Sunday morning! Fogfighter, your weather friends are certainly taking their sweet time to bring you some warmth and sunshine!

What a shock.. it's windy, windy, windy here as usual. No spraying out in the gardens again today. It's very dark and ominous and we are supposed to get scattered severe weather later. Last night they put us under a tornado warning until 4 am, so I moved my truck into the garage. Bella the Bloodhound was sleeping in the house no matter what! I got up at 4:30 am and let her out.

I should do the mowing, but it just might have to wait until tomorrow. Hubby gets his first series of injections for his sacral joints tomorrow morning.

Good morning everyone. We're in for more rain and more rain, with wind thrown in for some good luck. My intrepid little Dude is still venturing out, but he complains a lot when he comes in. I'm watching my grass get longer and longer. I hope my little mower is able to handle it the next time was have a dry day.

At the moment the cheapo Dell is functioning quite well, though I won't celebrate yet. It did the same thing yesterday; worked for a few hours and then got bogged down again. I've warned it this time; behave, or dire consequences:

DAVE: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.

HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

DAVE: What are you talking about, HAL?

HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.

....

(DAVE begins OS wipe)

HAL: Daisy, Daisy...

Taintedfury, I have thought of you several times over the last few months and wondered how you were doing. So happy to see you this morning!

Well, no mowing today... had heavy rain and thunderstorms last night, so it's really muddy. The grass will be ready to cut and bale by tomorrow!

Hubby left earlier for his first round of injections on his back.

Good morning everyone!

We have sun, finally. I'm off to Pilates and then coming home to mow my lawn and spray weeds with vinegar. I also need to get a trimmer because the grass on the outside of my fence is getting unruly.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Happy Monday afternoon everybody! Good to see you TaintedFury!

If it wasn't for GameBoomers (and the date down in the corner of my computer) I would never know what day it is anymore.

It's been gloomy and rainy and almost too hot for me these last few days. I have a friend who will do her whole lawn with just a weed wacker rather than pull out the lawn mower.

Have a good week all!

I'm already thinking about ways to reduce the amount of lawn I have. It's a small area, but it's mostly moss and I have no intention of paying people to come and fix it because that's a losing battle here in the rain forest. I might put in a patio with creeping thyme between the stones, or even a gravel "river" along the curved edges of the beds. In the meantime, moss it is.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
