Good morning Gerry, Draclvr, Connie, Hagatha, Lex, Fogfighter, Judith, OldBroad and everyone else who gets the chance to pop in. May the 4th be with you today! Gerry, I'll be enjoying your wide awake double dark brew all morning and early afternoon! That's wonderful news Draclvr and most amazing. Hagatha, does the vinegar affect the grass too?

Good Saturday morning! I've got a good head start on the day. Got a load of laundry in, made hubby's big Saturday morning breakfast and am settling down with a cup of WWDDB while I listen to the hummingbirds. I have to go in town today to take care of my friend's kitties while they are camping, but I also need to get more sugar. I just finished my first 10 pounds for the hummers! I checked my calendar from last year and I didn't have hummers until April 24th! It's gonna be a long - and expensive - year!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Happy Saturday, everyone.
I've been sorting out my garage this week, trying to get it into some semblance of order. It's difficult, when there's just me and everything is heavy. Dude has taken up residence in there, too, claiming it as his man-cave, I suppose, so I've had to cede some valuable real estate to the little guy; a couple of shelves and a corner for his litter box.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

As has already been said, vinegar is excellent as a weed killer (amongst its other uses): on paved or gravel areas, it is even more potent if you add salt (but not a good idea if you are trying to grow anything else in the same place, as it has a longer term effect). I envy those of you with the humming birds: we have only seen them on holiday in the Caribbean. Hoping you all have an enjoyable and/or restful Sunday, depending upon your preference for activity or lack of it...!

Good Monday morning! Lex, it's funny how many of those are really close to the truth!!
Kissing another $200 goodby when I take Mama Kitty back to the vet to check her kidney function. I swear I spend more on special cat food and vet bills than I do on us!
Should have mowed today, but it rained overnight, so it's much too wet and muddy.

Good morning all.
It's a beautiful morning here, and I am cautiously hopeful that I have managed to train Willow not to howl at my door in the morning. Fingers crossed.
EDIT: Holy Smokes! I sent my laptop off for repairs last Wednesday and it's back home already, fan replaced and smooth as silk once again.

Good Tuesday morning! Long night last night with storms rolling through. It was really bad in Oklahoma and Kansas and western Missouri. By the time it got here, it was mostly just rain with a lot of thunder and lightning. A small tornado did drop down about 20 miles from here and destroyed a bar and grill and slightly damaged the local high school. Supposed to be relatively quiet today, but Round 2 is tomorrow and could get quite ugly.
Ended up mowing yesterday because we knew there was nothing but rain and storms coming for the next few days.
Hagatha, that is amazing that you have your laptop back so quickly! That extra service contract was worth every penny!

Yes, it was.
Unfortunately now my left speaker is buzzing when I play music, specifically the bass. Not sure what that's about, but again, I'll get someone on the phone and it will be taken care of.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It was a lovely day. Finally, we have two full days of sunshine and no rain, so I spent about 4 hours spraying vinegar and pulling weeds. Also picked up a small blower and edge trimmer. Last on the list will be a shop-vac if I can find one small enough for me to carry.
The garden is almost all in leaf, except for the Wisteria, which has now sprouted. It really is nice out there. I've never particularly liked gardening, but this is my place and I don't mind it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Connie, Draclvr, hagatha, soot and everyone. Wide Awake double dark brew is ready. Happy Hump Day! Draclvr looks like you are in for a stormy day...stay safe. Hagatha hope you get the speaker fixed...maybe it is something "interfering" or a dirty contact. Soot I hope your weather is better today. Enjoy whatever you do! Gerry

Good morning Gerry, Draclvr, Connie, Hagatha, Lex, Fogfighter, Judith, OldBroad and everyone else who gets the chance to pop in. Whoop whoop indeed Fogfighter, the DDWAB hits the spot...thanks Gerry! Fogfighter I believe we are all in for some most unusual weather...Mrs Sun will make it eventually, never give up, never surrender! Hagatha, good news on your garden...you should be able to find a small shop-vac at your local hardware store or can order one on-line for delivery. Hump Day!!

Good Wednesday morning! Well, it appears that Mr. Tornado and his friends Large Hail and Wind are in store for us today. The threat level has been raised to "dangerous weather." My big tour at the horse rescue was cancelled, so I've been moving things so I can get my truck back in the garage. Bella the smelly Bloodhound is already in the house and she KNOWS it's coming!
So, hunkering down is the business of the day.

Draclvr,
I've been looking at that weather progress. Terrifying!
I went for a walk early this morning with a couple of friends. We have Ms. Sunshine today, and she'll be appearing all week, so I have no excuses when it comes to my weeding and window-washing.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
