Good morning everyone. I really enjoyed my dog-sitting stint but must admit there's no place like home. The double dark wide awake brew hits the spot this morning Gerry. Connie, I'll have a cinnamon crunch bagel and will also let you keep those 100 degree temps down there. wink

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Thursday morning! Well, we survived the horrid weather yesterday and Tuesday night. Others all around us were not so lucky. In Tennessee a friend of a member here has a post pleading for help after a tornado from the same storms that went through here destroyed her barn and she had a mare and foal trapped inside. Multiple tornados on the ground all around us, but I haven't heard of more damage. Sunny, breezy and very cool this morning. Hopefully my huge vegetable gardens will start to dry out so we can get in and plant the rest of our stuff! My tomatoes are getting too tall!

The DDWAB is just the ticket for this morning!

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Oh no, the poor horse and foal. How awful. I'm glad you made it through unscathed.

I had a busy day today, I was expecting the Geek Squad to show up for three hours to set up my TV's and sound system, and that took up half the day, but also I needed some emergency mechanical repairs. Last night an annoying and loud noise repeatedly woke me up. At first I thought it was someone on a motorcycle idling outside at 2 am, and stomped out to "ask" then to kindly shut it, but it was dead silent out there. Ergo, something in my house. Except that about half an hour later, there was the sound of an engine revving, and then the noise faded away. A motorcycle after all! It came back. Again, nobody outside. Argh. It went on all night. Turns out my furnace needed some work. Something was flapping around in there. So a busy day and no time for recreation.

Anyway I now have two TV s all set up with my sound system and Blu-ray players, and a furnace that is back to its normal amount of annoying noise.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning and thanks for the DDWAB Gerry..

Over here Mr Sunshine and Mrs Sun finally arrived. Decent 14 degrees (Celsius) outdoors. No horror storms or spooky furnaces haunting the area. I'm starting to run out of crossword puzzles but there may be one for May too.

Happy Friday everyone wave

Good Friday morning! So nice to see the sun and just breezy instead of so windy. That means I'm going to get my spraying done today! And of course, it's back to the weeds... after all the rain, they are pulling easily.

I can't imagine 100 degrees yet, Connie! It's chilly enough here that I have my little heater on my feet!

hagatha, sounds like you have the place humming now! You know rather than sounding like a Harley Davidson motorcycle!

Good morning.

We're having another lovely day, with our morning routines back on track. Willow is complaining about the food, as usual. Dude has gone off to wherever it is he goes early in the morning. There's an abandoned trailer on the forested lot across the road and I think that's his hangout. He goes out for hours and then spends the afternoon in a chair on the patio, no longer wanting to be out late at night.

The fan vibration is still an issue. It's completely silent everywhere else in the house but it's leaking up through the pocket door cavity between the master bath and bedroom and it bothers me -- one of those irritations that, once noticed, cannot be ignored. hardwall All options considered, I think taking out the pocket door, soundproofing inside the walls, and then hanging a normal door is the easiest and cheapest route, unless it's possible to soundproof the wall cavity itself and re-hang the pocket door. I'll have to consult with my contractor friend.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. A lovely day over here. Mr Sunshine and Mrs Sun are blessing the surroundings. Temperature; 14 degrees Celsius.

I have made a pot of Somewhat Dark Wakeup Brew for emergency use.
Hagatha: I hope you can find a good solution to the spooky vibration issue.

Happy Saturday GameBoomers

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. Got some rain last night, temps down to the upper 80's low 90's. A Sam's trip is on the agenda today. We are having our Mother's Day dinner with a Rose for the ladies at the Eagles tonight. The Eagles were responsible for making Mother's Day a holiday. We honor the mother figure at all of our meetings. Our motto is Home, God, and Country. Enjoy the day and hug someone. hug hearts

Enjoy your dinner tonight, Connie.

I'm heading back down to the Ranch to work a Wagon Day event. We have free wagon rides to the back of the 165 acre property, rescue pony rides, food trucks and general fun. Supposed to be a gorgeous 75 degrees.

We had stunning northern lights displays all the way down here in Missouri last night! There is a record and historical geo-magnetic storm right now. From our local amateur weather guy, "During the excitement last night, sunspot AR3664 exploded with its most powerful X class flare yet."

Good morning!

We're up to 21 Degrees here today, summer heat! I'm planning on washing my windows today, and if I have the energy I'll do my car as well. I'm about to head out onto the patio with my coffee.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Supposedly the Northern Lights were visible here in Chicago also, but not from where I live. I really would like to see those.

We had awesome lights last night oldbroad! If you want to see them in Chicago you need to look through your phone camera. They were everywhere you looked, I took lots of photos. The sky looked dull and gray until you held the phone camera up. Hope you can see it tonight! Try it!

A fine Sunday with great weather. Neither cold nor hot. Mrs. Sun is still blessing the surroundings and Gerry's DDWAB made the day.
I'll provide some Swedish knäckebröd for emergency use until Connie arrives with the yummy Danish Donuts and Bagels

Over here Mother's Day is the last Sunday of May. Different countries, different traditions.

Happy Mother's Day and Sunday GameBoomers wave

Good Sunday morning and Happy Mother's Day to all our moms!

FINALLY! We are going to get the tomatoes in the ground today. I had to work that Wagon Day at the Ranch all day yesterday, but hubby was finally able to get the two huge vegetable gardens tilled with his big tiller on the back of the tractor and drilled my holes for me. Between his back being down for 11 weeks and the non-stop rain and severe weather, this is really late and my tomatoes are too tall! The goal is to get all 96 planted today, but we were both totally beat after our long days yesterday, we'll see!

We are getting a couple of steaks out of the freezer for tonight. We have a huge bag of fresh lettuce, radishes and spring onions from the garden, so will have a feast tonight!
