Lovely weather here too. Mr Sunshine and Mrs Sun are visiting again. hagatha: same here, not much use for heating anymore. I'll provide some instant coffee and knäckebröd för emergency use until the real stuff arrives. Happy new week Gameboomers.

Good Monday morning! Gerry, I think I got my 4.5 miles in yesterday too - it was just in one of the vegetable gardens! We got 96 tomato plants in the ground and then I spent the rest of the day putting together my last 3 large pots of annuals for the pool deck and almost finished getting all the daylilies and other plants fertilized. We were both whupped by the end of the day! Hubby put a couple of steaks on the grill and we had a killer salad of lettuce, radishes and spring onions from the garden. It was a feast!
It's supposed to rain today, so I'm going to try to get the rest of my plants fertilized this morning.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone. I woke up to the sound of two cats playing a game of Ambush! Very amusing. Willow almost tripped me, big girl that she is.
I'm off to Pilates and then some yard work with the new blower. I got the windows finished yesterday and cleaned around all the window frames and doors, too, a huge improvement.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I love my blower, hagatha! Makes so many jobs easier outside. My windows need washing so badly... Since we have a two story house, I'm thinking I'll have to hire it done as neither one of us "does" ladders any more!

That's one of the beauties of living in a rancher. No stairs, and I can wash my own windows.
I thought I would hate doing so much maintenance around here, but I actually quite enjoy it. The only thing I'm really not willing to take care of is the pond. That's a grungy, wet job and I'm quite happy to have someone else take care of it.
I do have a landscaping contract this year, but I'm trying to figure out of it's worth it beyond a big Spring and Fall cleanup. Mostly they do weeding, and there's a lot of that because I have so much gravel around the outside of my fence (two gravel parking spots big enough for RV's; one of them would fit a full size RV and weeding it is a lot of time). I also have a large gravel parking are inside my fence and a neighbour who isn't all that keen on weed control. So for now, I'll pay for weeding, but I think my current landscaper is charging me way to o much.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Fogfighter, Connie, soot, Draclvr, hagatha and everyone. As usual Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Draclvr I don't know where you get all that energy to do all those chores in one day! All that physical work must be so exhausting! I don't have the stamina any more to tackle such big jobs! Another sunny day here before the rain arrives tomorrow and Thursday. Planning another nice long walk early. Enjoy your day everyone! Gerry

Had a DDWAB + DDB breakfast. Always a great start. Mrs Sun was reigning over here today but now Ms. Cloud is starting to appear. Mr Rain is still absent. He might still be tired after working overtime hours earlier this spring. Have a good Tuesday and good luck with chores and stuff

Good Wednesday morning! No tours and no gardening - it's another rainy day. But my 96 baby tomato plants are very happy with the weather!
Caught up on laundry, so a lazy day - maybe time for some gaming!

I have company coming so I did some garden clean-up. I'm getting a bit tired of the "grass." It is at least 50% moss now. I'm going to discuss alternatives with my landscaper.
My special customized Fallout X-Box controller arrived today. I feel like such a nerd...
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday one and all - some humour below to help the day along. Sunshine here right now, but plenty of showers in the wings over the next few days to top up the already more than adequate rainfall. Hagatha, you deserve to feel like a nerd with all that fancy gaming gear...! And to make you smile: Still trying to get my head around the fact that 'Take Out' can mean food, dating, or murder. Dear paranoid people who check behind their shower curtains for murderers. If you do find one, what's your plan? The older I get, the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day. If only vegetables smelled as good as bacon. When I lost the fingers on my right hand in a freak accident, I asked the doctor if I would still be able to write with it. He said, "Probably, but I wouldn't count on it." I woke up this morning determined to drink less, eat right, and exercise. But that was four hours ago when I was younger and full of hope. The biggest joke on mankind is that computers have begun asking humans to prove they aren't a robot. When a kid says "Daddy, I want Mommy" that's the kid version of "I'd like to speak to your supervisor". Just once, I want a username and password prompt to say: "CLOSE ENOUGH". Last night the internet stopped working so I spent a few hours with my family. They seem like good people. Some of my friends exercise every day. Meanwhile I am watching a show I don't like because the remote fell on the floor. I just got a present labelled, 'From Mom and Dad', and I know darn well Dad has no idea what's inside. Someone said, "Nothing rhymes with orange." I said, "No, it doesn't." There's a fine line between a numerator and a denominator. Only a fraction of people will find this funny. I have many hidden talents. I just wish I could remember where I hid them. Apparently, exercise helps you with decision-making. It's true. I went for a run this morning and decided I'm never going again. What did our parents do to kill boredom before the internet? I asked my 26 brothers and sisters and they didn't know either. Struggling to get your wife's attention? Just sit down and look comfortable. Just sold my homing pigeon on eBay for the 22nd time.
