Good Thursday morning! Thanks for the giggles, Lex! Rainy and drizzly here. I did get the 3 acres of yard mowed yesterday between showers... it was really muddy in places. Tonight is my granddaughter's high school graduation, so will be going to that. Luckily it's indoors! My other 18 year old granddaughter also graduates next week, but they are in Colorado and although hubby's back is better, there is no way he can travel yet, so we will miss that one. They are coming for a visit 2 weeks later, so I'll have to make it up to her then!

Hagatha what is a "Fallout X-Box controller? It's an X-Box controller with a pattern of Pip-Boy cartoons on it, and you can choose the colours of the various parts of the controller; the buttons and body pieces and so on. Silly, but fun.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Since I'm deep into Fallout 4 GOTY, I don't think it's a bit silly! The Pip-Boy cartoons are epic!

I was thinking about getting the Cyberpunk version, too. It would go on the shelf with my Witcher and Cyberpunk figurines, along with John's Breaking Bad figurines, the plastic 1940's Disney toys my mother gave me, the metal Yellow Submarine complete with pop-up Beatles, again from my mother, and the Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher squeaky toys John bought decades ago. It's a total nerd-out. I have them on my bookshelves, in front of my science fiction books. The whole effect is colourful and silly.

An excellent selection hagatha, and some of them probably quite valuable, especially if you have kept the boxes of course! Hope you all have a great day: more sunshine here, so no excuse for not getting out for some serious weeding...

Good Morning everyone and thanks for the DDWAB Those of you of Norwegian ancestry can celebrate today. They party heftily today over there. Them Norweigians have kind of an independece day. Though they had to endure 90 years of union with Sweden after their independence declaration. Happy Friday and happy Syttende Mai to Norway

Good Friday morning! Fogfighter, I am a good part Norwegian and didn't know today was Syttende Mai... I grew up on lefse and lutefisk. Well, I loved the lefse and hated the lutefisk! My Norwegian grandma was a terrible cook and Thanksgiving and Christmas didn't smell of wonderful things... her house smelled of boiled fish preserved in lye! Now, my Uncle Skrondahl could make good lutefisk, but I could never get past the smell...
Granddaughter graduated last night and afterwards she headed off to a Senior night held at a facility in town. They started doing those a long time ago - her dad went to one where they bussed the kids somewhere and let them spend the night partying and playing games. That kind of stopped the tradition of staying out all night and drinking!
Sunny today - yay! Maybe I can tackle more weeds.

An excellent selection hagatha, and some of them probably quite valuable, especially if you have kept the boxes of course! I only kept a few boxes, and of course my grandfather and mother would not have kept the boxes for the older stuff. I didn't have room even at my old place. The Keanu Reeves/Johnny Silverhand figurines are very accurate. John looked almost exactly like Keanu Reeves when he was younger and a couple of people have been very confused when they've seen the figurines.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Sounds like the grandma was real old school Norwegian. I wasn't aware about the lefse, which seems yummy, but over here lutefisk is sometimes served for christmas. More often at the parts closer to Norway and not so much in Stockholm where I live. Now when you mention fishy smell, or was that smelly fish, in the northern parts of Sweden many consider fermented herring ( surströmming ) a delicacy. Despite the strong smell. Of course Syttende Mai just means Seventeenth (of) May which is the big day over there. Similar to the fourth of July in the US, I guess. Thanks for the DDWAB Gerry. A good way to start the day. Mrs Sun and Mr Sunshine agree. Happy Saturday Gameboomers

Happy Saturday, everyone.
It's a long weekend, and I plan to take it easy since it's overcast and I can't spray weeds until we have two days of sun. Time for gaming and TV!
I'm looking on line for a heated cat house for Dude, for when he stays out past my bedtime. He has a hidey-hole nearby, since he's always dry when I let him in, but I'd like him to be right by the door so I can let him in when I get up in the night.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Sunday morning! Missed the break room yesterday as I headed out to work on weeds right after breakfast. The cicadas are deafening out there, so I had to take out my hearing aids!
Fogfighter, several Scandanavian towns up north where I'm from even have "lutefish festivals!" The entire towns smell of that horrid fish for days! My dad had to have some of that awful herring at Christmas, but my mom made him eat it by himself.
It hasn't rained for two days, so I'm hoping to get in the tomato garden. I need to replant a few that didn't make the transplant.

Good morning everyone.
I've been noticing that on some days my cats refuse to go out. I just saw why. There was a mink or small otter in my pond this morning. We had them in Campbell River, too, of course. Nasty, smelly creatures.
I banged on the window and watched it leave through a gap under the fence, which I will fill up with stones today. I might even have the pond maintenance people fill in the pond part of the water feature and turn it into a long stream instead, which would discourage any raccoon or mink from coming in to swim, and also mean less maintenance.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. Just finished yard cleanup after last night's storm which knocked out our power. We had a downpout with 40-50+ MPH winds and gusts clearing big limbs, 100 to 150 pound limbs, from our trees. Something large hit our roof so I headaed outside for a damage check and thankfully noted no trees on the house. One of our neighbors garage was destroyed by three trees which fell on it. Next it was time to explore in the attic to see what if any damage the loud noise we heard on our roof was...but saw no penetration...all was dry. So, waited for this morning to explore the topside of the roof and all looked good. So, got some good exercise in this morning hauling limbs to the road for city cleanup crews and life is good! Happy Sunday to one and all. Gerry and Connie...the coffee and bagels got me through the morning

Soot, I'm glad nothing got destroyed at your place. That's scary. In Campbell River we sometimes had winds so strong I feared for our windows, which would flex under the pressure. Here I'm surrounded by tall evergreens and they do sway considerably during a good blow.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
