Good Thursday morning! A little thunder earlier with a spot shower, but looks like a beautiful day ahead. Going to linger over my DDWAB this morning, Gerry, before I head out for the last day of weeding. These gentle showers have made the tomato garden look beautiful. Had to replace a few - mostly caused by both Bella the Bloodhound and the neighbor's dogs walking through with their big feet! We will get them strawed down and the big cages put up this weekend.
Will have to start getting my house in order after I'm done with the weeds as I finally have schedules for summer visitors. The Germans will arrive on June 12 and my son and his family will arrive on June 13. My granddaughter who lives here is having her graduation party on June 15, so we should have a merry crew! The Germans will have to stay with other family until my son heads back to Colorado.
I'm always so excited to see everyone, but equally glad when everyone goes back home!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning all. I woke up to pouring rain so coffee is especially welcome.
There's nothing too exciting going on around here. The otter ((it was an otter, not a mink) hasn't shown up again, although a couple of my neighbours have seen it down in the park near the water.
I'm off to Pilates and then over to the local farm market for a few things.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday morning. Gerry, my life is always interesting! I always look forward to the winter months when I can just sit in front of my computer and game and read! I think because I grew up on a family farm in NW Iowa in the 1940's and 1950's with a mom who grew and canned most of our food, baked bread every week, sewed most of our clothes and helped my dad with the farm, it rubbed off on me! My sister is the same way.
I have about 20 minutes of weeding in a short stone walkway and then I'm done! After this, it will just be a few minutes a day to keep up. Everything just looks beautiful right now. Anxious to get the pool open. Hubby is going to need help from my son who lives nearby this year. His back is much better, but still not up to a lot of kneeling and getting up and down.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Sunday morning! It started to thunder about 4:30 and then it rained for a couple of hours. Dreadful weather with more tornados in SW Missouri and down into Arkansas. Several state parks were hit with campers blown over, trees down and power lines everywhere. And because of the Memorial Day weekend the parks are full. Haven't heard of any injuries or deaths yet. Our friends who camp were down that way, but came home Friday.
We got the 96 tomatoes strawed down and the big cages up around them yesterday. So, now it's time for them to just grow and make tomatoes for me!
Heading in town this afternoon for a fish fry at step-son's. Our granddaughter is on leave from the Army and her husband just came back from his deployment to Poland, so they will both be there. I'm bringing a cole slaw and the last of the fresh asparagus.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Mother Nature seems to be especially cross this year. I've been reading about the storm and hoping nobody got seriously injured. That must be terrifying if you're camping.
Here we're just getting the usual damp days. My garden is full of bird song, and I've seen more than a few goldfinches bathing in the little stream of my water feature.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Sunday morning everyone. You are spot on Hagatha, bad storms with high winds are very alarming when camping...have had a few in my camping days. In fact, one time we left the camp site and I took the family home. I came back the next day to break camp, dry equipment and pack all up. Hi OldBroad ... it's good to see you; I hope the storms are not bad and just wet. Totally enjoying the coffee and bagels Gerry and Connie. Have a good BBQ Connie. We'll grill out tomorrow. Have a wonderful day everyone.

It's Memorial Day here in the US. We will be going to a short service honoring our fallen service members at our American Legion Post later this morning. The Auxiliary is serving pork steak and chicken dinners after and I'm sure we will have a few beers this afternoon. So, please take a minute to remember service members who have passed.
Such terrible storms all around us again yesterday and last night. I read 14 were killed in Kentucky. I pulled my truck into the garage just in case, but we just got rain. But it sunny and quite a bit cooler this morning... a beautiful day so far.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake double dark brew is almost ready. No rain expected here today just a cloudy day. Plan on an early morning walk to avoid the humidity and those pesky "gnats"! Enjoy your day! Gerry
