Hi all,
1. You aren't able to see anything on the World Map in the game but you can see the local map for direction. You do get a paper map of the area with the disk for Tribunal. You will have to use that to see how to get from one place to another.
2. You get main quests from 2 places. One is at the palace and the other is at the Temple. I beleive you can start at either place but you do end up doing stuff for both.

Now that I have taken care of the Dark Brotherhood, the guy in the throne room is talking, but I haven't found who is starting rumors. I have a quest from the robot maker, but it will have to wait till I can access the area. I also have quests from the Temple and the Queen. I am waiting for the woman in Godsreach to start her estate sale. I haven't been able to find that locked door in the sewers again--also another large chamber with a couple tough characters in it. I was there earlier with the Nord. Ingie, how do you build a stronghold? I have no idea.

Pokey, You're busy! For the estate sale thing to kick in a little, get a quest from one of the collector merchants in the area. To build a stronghold, you have to belong to one of the Great Houses-for me it was Hlaalu; was advanced up to Father by Mr. Yuck in Vivec, and then went to Balmora and talked about my stronghold. It goes it stages for a couple of quests-which were a snap-and bingo I've got my stronghold built. Don't know that it's all that great, but it is home and safe. I'm staying out of the sewers for a while, I am thinking about finishing up the Temple Quest-Row's got me interested in them. I said no to acting in the play: and no to the bouncer job. Did a couple of cure potions; I am still just wandering around a little going back and forth. Oh, I have the quest for the Robot thing also, that's easy, so no hurry. I like the fact of no Cliff Racers, when going back I realize how much I detest those things. Ingie

Good for you Pokey, but I wonder why she wouldn't sell? She did for me first try. isn't this strange, depends on what who knows? Yep, I was using SpyDaddy's little room, convient and all, Sig was using the Orc Woman's he had to kill, nice place; but I wanted a stronghold-I thought I'd have it to myself, but you have to share. But still, it's nice enough, just out of the way. I'm trying to get the Master of Enchanting to train me-he hates me; it's been a real struggle, not fun and very slow going! Then back I think to Mournhold or I may finish the Temple Quest. Sounds good with the play, I'll give it a shot. Ingie

I still need help with this quest. I can not find the room with the wooden ladder or a rock to stand on to open the secret passage. Please someone help me I am entering through the Old Mournhold Gardens. I have been through the Throne Room, The catacombs, and found the exit to East Sewer, but I do not see a wooden ladder, I can not figure out where to go with this. I have to kill this dead guy to stop the Crimson Red Disease I went to UHS Hints, and still cannot figure this out. HELP PLEASE Ingie

Tami, Thanks just the hint I needed, I didn't think to look around where I was at You have to go into the temple, then to the Infirmary, from there to the Misister of Truth, find the healer and she'll start you on the quest of the disease. Ingie

No, I don't think that matters Pokey. Are you talking to the right person? It's not the healer in the infirmary, it's her "boss" I guess you'd call her. She'll talk about someone being sick and won't come in for treatment. That triggers the quest, come to think of it, you may have to go down to the sewers to have a look around and when your character states that something smells-I think she actually will say there is a "stench that is overpowering", that may trigger the quest. Wish I had a better memory, Tami will be along to help, she takes notes, wonder if I'll ever do that....NAH Ingie

Oh boy Zanthia, I've been waiting to hear that you're ready to start. Well, for one thing-levitating is out except in the sewers! But since that seems to be where I am stuck the most, I use it quite a bit; but not as much as in Morrowind. I've been having to use Strong Resist to Poison and Magicka more than anything else. I am still using Staff of Mangus the most, but you'll need more than one item to use. I also wish I had repair skills and equipment, found myself padding around barefoot and without a top or left arm gear just last night-how embarrassing Talk to the people in the temple area where you arrive; that will give you some quests and picks up the story that Lord Vivec tells you about when you finish the Main Quest. The "Rane" woman in Ebonheart will send you there-she's in the Council Chambers. For me she's in the first hall near some stairways. I like it here in Mournhold-no Racers yet! I'm still lost in the sewers, so I haven't been able to check out a whole lot; although I did do some exploring above ground, not all but some. Pokey and Tami were Right about saying YES to the play The paper map is a GIANT help with figuring out where to go and what to see. Remember what Tami said about the guy outside of the Temple-I refuse to speak to him. I have found the "bad guys" to be a lot tougher than in Morrowind, in fact I've been killed quite a bit-the goblins are a riot! And you can buy or hire someone or something to carry loot for you-that was my funniest surprise so far. I've run into a couple of "Romantic Quest" that may be fun. Oh, gee shouldn't have asked, I am having a great time as you can tell. Going back to Creeper is not a big deal for me-and I get to sell some stuff and visit old fiends. The merchants here have more money; but seem very tight with it. Haven't found a "Creeper" or "Mudcrab" here yet, doesn't mean I won't though. Come on Zanthia, I can't wait for you to be here with us-I may be out of the sewers by then. Ingie

Zanthia, glad to hear you have started Tribunal. Great to have another player. I finished off the Red Crimson plague quest last night. Gedne Relvel was really a tough opponent. I finished up the scrolls and the smith's apprentice quests. The Sadri manor quest I did earlier is quite dramatic. Tried the bouncer one but gave up when I got tired of fistfighting--kept getting knocked down. Also finished the clutter and the Doth Dagger quests. I have a couple more side quests but will go back to the main quest for a while. I did a trial run with the packrat. He was kind of cute and kept up pretty well, but I decided I didn't need him. Sunder has worked out well as my main weapon.

thanks for the tips. I am now a full fledge member of 'Not a Clue Club Member' as I completely forgot there was a paper map for tribunal. well i am in mournhold now. isn't it so much fun to be waken up by assassins while trying to get some well deserved rest. SO far i haven't done much except i am exploring all around trying to see where things are. Have no quests yet except to find about the dark brotherhood. i am in the sewers now being attacked by more assassins. don't they ever stop I stopped picking up all their stuff and am just picking up the weapons like a deadric tanto that are worth a lot. not being able to levitate is the pits. it funny how we get spoiled so easily by being able do this in other areas

Zanthia, Right now I'm back in Morrowind trying to find as much glass as I can get my hands on so I can my own personal armor made! Sounds so cool The sewers are filled with stuff. I made one area near the entrance of the "central"location and stashed everything there then one haul to Creepers-that's what took me all day Sunday. But, boy got a lot of stuff! There's at least 2 quest there that's fun. Keep us posted Pokey, Ingie

I think i have been in the sewers at least 3 different times today. Atleasti could levitate there. I was doing some quests for the head of the guards in the palace. i needed to talk to people to find out more info and one of these people i talked to was Thrud. he ended up following me like glue since he wanted me to rescue his friend in the sewers. couldn't lose him except when i went down to the sewers he didn't follow.
so far combat hasn't been hard but my blinding boots keep braking like crazy. i have had to stock up on lots of hammers from the armory shop. Even if they are fully repaired it seems like they break every 2 or 3 battles.
when i was walking in the bazaar, i got attacked by a guy named velas. i was not expecting that.
