Hagatha, my tech forums say it was a third-party update that was faulty - from Cloudflare. In addition, their Azure cloud server went down at the same time. Mad, this supposedly only affected airports, banks, stock exchanges, 911 services, transit systems, hotels, news outlets, hospitals, emergency services.
I use Windows 10 too and have no issues.

Almost every flight in the U.S. is grounded right now due to this issue except for Southwest Airlines. The reason why? It can be found here.I love it! Wishing everyone a pleasant weekend. Just brilliant Win 3.1. I remember that one. Ran horribly slow on my 1 MB RAM 386 20 MHz PC. but turned out to be pretty good after upgrade to glorious 4 MB.

I looked on-line when my task bar first started playing up, Draclvr, and both Win10 AND Win11 users were reporting similar issues. However I have been able to access internet banking and health services

That's odd. Windows 11 users weren't supposed to be affected. I just read something about this whole thing that made me laugh! Southwest airlines is operating just fine, thank you very much, because it's operating on the old Windows 3.1! 1992 Windows Version Saving Southwest's Butt

Good morning everyone. A few emergency rations of instant coffee and knäckebröd available in the break room. Over here pleasant 24 degrees Celsius. Mrs Sun is blessing the area and Mr Sky is blue. Happy Saturday Gameboomers

Oldbroad, LOL! I was definitely late to the party yesterday in more ways than one! A Luau and Karaoke sounds like so much fun, Connie! This is the last big Saturday morning breakfast before the Germans leave on Wednesday (assuming Lufthansa is flying!), so I made Petra's favorite - pancakes, bacon and eggs. I'm off the hook the rest of the day though. Stepson and his wife are coming out for supper tonight and Guenter is making his German style goulash. Petra is making a tiramisu this morning and hubby is making a sour cream cucumber salad later. Maybe I'll just lay out by the pool all day! Weather is so gorgeous we turned off the AC and opened up all the windows last night. I got chilly by morning! Have a wonderful Saturday!

Good morning everyone.
We're still having hot summer weather and blue skies. My house doesn't heat up the way my last home did; the way the house is situated takes advantage of the sun on the patio but the house itself is relatively shaded. I've only had to have the air conditioning on a couple of times so far.
Nothing much happening today. I repacking a couple of return parcels for FedEx and maybe going into town to see what's going on down in the main park. There are music bands and activities during the summer. Might be fun to check it out.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good afternoon Fogfighter, Gerry, Connie, Draclvr, Hagatha and all who pop in later. Emergency rations much appreciated Fogfighter...we're are having regular (gully washer!) downpours every hour. Great news Gerry, glad you got a couple of walks in yesterday...got mine in before the downpours started later in the morning. Connie, the Luau and karaoke sound fun...enjoy! Draclvr, I think your pool option is the card to play today...having the AC off and windows open sounds marvelous! Hagatha, have fun checking out the activities today. I'm off to work on projects for awhile and then see where the afternoon leads me. Take care everyone and have a wonderful Saturday.

Good morning everyone! Just returned last night from a much needed week in the mountains on a lake and it was a slice of heaven. (Sorry, I never post publicly about leaving because it's too easy to google where I live and don't like advertising my home will be empty). I found this absolutely wonderful place HERE and went with my hubby, sister, son and his significant other and 2 dogs. My golden retriever and my sons German Shepherd are wiped out from swimming and hiking all week! Good to be back! Hagatha, so sorry I missed your special day, happy belated birthday!

Ana, it makes me very happy to hear you were able to get away for some much needed time off! Given your hectic schedule, it was well-deserved!
Final family dinner with the Germans last night. Step-son and his wife came too. Guenter's goulash was really good - he even made spaetzle. And Petra's tiramisu was to die for! Had to stay up until midnight to unload the dishwasher, put everything away and load and run it again! Now they start packing for their return to Germany on Wednesday.
I'm ready... house guests, even family, no matter how wonderful they are, are still other people in your house!

Ana, that looks heavenly. I really miss the trips John and I used to do around BC. Often nothing fancy, just peaceful and/or adventurous, and a lot of dirt logging roads.
We're still in the midst of a heat wave here, though it's overcast today with the hope of some light showers. I was looking at the weather map of North America just now -- there are heat warnings in Nunavut and the North West Territories!
Nothing much to do today apart from mowing 1/2 my lawn and playing Fallout 76. I'm stocked up with lots of yogurt and local berries for my dessert tonight, plus a piece of Coho and vegetables from the local farm market.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
