Good Wednesday morning! Lex, at my age of nearly 77, I gave up ladders several years ago! Nope! I hire it all done now. Hubby just has either my son or his son do other stuff that requires ladders and/or climbing!
Back to the weeds today. Oh, joy!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Yes Lex, do be careful up there, my husband has just cleaned the moss off our roof, I was nearly having a heart attack worrying about him, as I stood holding the ladder!!!

Good afternoon everybody Wow, it's Wednesday already…Groucho had it right "Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana! Totally enjoying the WADDB Gerry and happy to hear you had great walking weather…I did too this morning. Fogfighter, the knäckebröd was marvelous. Lex…I still do all of my roof maintenance using a ladder to get up and stay quite nervous when I shimmy up to the upper level roof in our tri-level home. I'll add my 2 cents with Copper, OldBroad, Draclvr, Connie and Fogfighter–be careful and Stay Out Of Trees! O.K., lunch break is done ... time to get back to projects and chores. Take care everyone and have a wonderful afternoon.

My ladder-climbing days are not quite done, since I have high ceilings with recessed lighting. Not sure how long I care to brave the 8-foot ladder, though. Of course the extra-high ceilings are way out of my reach. I don't turn those lights on.
The pond guy came and had a look at the situation. It turned out to be the pipe at the top of the waterfall, somehow dislodged and aiming the water in the wrong direction. It's now back in place and all is well -- without the expensive repair I thought I was looking at, thank goodness.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Phew, Lex !! I would require something a little stronger than coffee, after of course, being up there with the Gods [ Not that I would even be up there to begin with ]

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start your day! Lex do be careful...my hubby climbed up to the roof to clean the gutters while I held the ladder steady...he was always very careful and went very slow...this year I will need to hire someone...lots of chores I cannot do without him...it has been 10 months since he passed from a sudden cardiac arrest. Hope everyone has a nice day! Gerry

Good morning everyone.
Gerry, there are so many household jobs John used to take care of that I can't do by myself. i still have pictures that need hanging but I'll have to wait until somebody who is relatively strong comes to visit. The highest lights will need a contractor. The other thing is that I can now get around in the crawl space, but it's only 3 feet and there will come a time I can't crawl around down there. I'm actually starting to think that if something needs to go in the crawl space, perhaps I don't need it at all, important papers excepted.

Good evening all. Great news Hagatha, I'm sure you are relieved to get it fixed. I believe you are correct Fogfigher, but Mad does have a point : o ) Gerry, the WADDB was fantastic this morning as I enjoyed two brews and a bagel from Connie. Hagatha, what type of floor does your crawl space have…dirt, concrete, ? Wishing everyone a wonderful evening.

Dan, my crawl space floor is concrete, a bit dusty and needing a vacuum. It's warm and dry down there, with electric heating, so I can store things with confidence. It's a cavernous space, the entire house.
There's also a huge attic storage, but the garage ceiling is about 12 feet and the access ladder is a bendy triple-section that freaks me out completely! Plus, there's no way to carry anything up there.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Thanks for the "emergency rations" Fogfighter! I have the Wide Awake Double Dark Brew ready now. Today we are getting more smoke from the Canadian fires so air quality will be affected. Have a super Friday to start the weekend everyone! Gerry

Good morning Hagatha, Fogfighter, Gerry, Connie and all who follow. Hagatha, I understand your hesitation with the 'bendy three-section' attic ladder...one of our houses had one of those bendy section ladders...I had to put the box on a step above me, one step at a time, to work my way up into the attic...and I was much younger then! Fogfighter stay dry when Mr. Rain arrives. Gerry, we're having our annual 'white skies' occurence with dust from the Sahara desert. Enjoying Gerry and Connie's WADDB and bagels. Have a great Friday everyone.

Good Morning Connie, soot, Fogfighter, hagatha, Draclvr and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start your day. We are having another day of wild fire smoke from Canada but I hope to walk early. Not sure what else I will do today. Enjoy your day! Gerry

Good morning and thanks for the brew. I'll throw in some knäckebröd while we wait for the DDB. Today 20 Celsius and ms Cloud visiting. Tonight there will be a 10 km running event in central Stockholm. I'll have a look but will make sure to be on the right side of the road when the runners arrive. Else the wait will be long. Happy Saturday GameBoomers

Good Saturday morning! Finished hubby's big breakfast and THOUGHT I was going to sit down and enjoy a cup of DDWAB. But, nope... checked and the hummingbirds have wiped out their 2 gallons of sugar water in 24 hours. So, I had to mix up 2 more gallons which means I need to go to town and get more sugar. This makes 100 pounds I've gone through so far this year!
Another very hot and humid day, so not looking forward to finishing up the weeding today. I NEVER had to do weeds in mid-August because everything is dried up and brown. But the rain, rain, rain every other day has kept them growing. Everything else looks lovely because of the rain.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.
