Do you like the Gaslamp Cases games? I have looked at them and have them on my list with the notation "good rate" but I haven't bought any yet.

I started Mystery Case Files: Black Crown last night but I was so tired I was only able to play for 15 minutes.

The Gaslamp Cases play pretty much the same as all the other efunsoft match 3 games, so if you like any of those, you will like these. Nothing extra special but pleasant, with nice stories with voiceovers that are interspersed here and there. A pleasant way to pass the time. I have played the first two in the series thus far.

I haven't played Black Crown but (of course!) it is in my Purchase History. I should give it a go one of these days.

I have been extra tired the last few days too. Part of it can be attributed to the weather. The heat really wears me down.

Thanks Marian. I don't think I have any efunsoft match 3 games. I have some highlighted on my list that I was going to buy when they had them bundled not long ago, but I think the bundles were removed before I got to purchasing them. Many of the match 3 games are as you say "a pleasant way to pass the time" which I am good with. Some are more than that but none of them come close to Caribbean Hideaway or The Spell for making me crazy. The Cave Quest games are really good too. I think I will go ahead and start the Let's Travel: Welcome to Mexico game. It's been awhile since I played a match 3.

I'm nearly at the end of the bonus game of my second Dark Canvas now and have enjoyed both. [Maybe A Murder Exposed a little more than Blood and Stone.]

But I think I will go ahead and get the one in the series that I haven't yet got .... Dark Canvas A Brush With Death CE .... in the hopes it will be as good as the other two grin

Mad, I haven't played all three Dark Canvas games; in fact, the only one I have played is A Brush With Death CE, which I enjoyed. I hope you like it.

I recently played another Vast Studios game called Written Legends: Nightmare at Sea. I recommend it. It was a good play. smile

I finished Fairy Godmother Stories: Dark Deal CE and I enjoyed it.

Now I am playing Fatal Evidence: The Cursed Island and am also enjoying this one.

I've been in a Do/Domini mood lately. This is a good thing, as I have enough games of theirs now to sink a ship.

Now I am playing Delicious: Emily's Message in a Bottle CE. Played it for the first time about eight years ago and haven't played it since, so it's pretty much like a new game. I have had a lot of interruptions the last couple of days and it's a good game to play in short bursts.

I finished MCF: Black Crown a couple nights ago. Tonight I started a replay of Cursed Fates: The Headless Horseman, or at least I hope so. I am playing in Windows 7 from the disc which doesn't actually install to my computer. I have to have the disc in while playing. I am hoping when I put the disc in again tomorrow, that I can continue on in the game and not have to start over. I played it in the same computer in 2019 but can't remember if I just left the disc in and the computer on or what.

I have Headless Horseman but still haven't played it. I hope you are able to play the game all the way through.

I had re-purchased the game about 10 months ago and installed it on my Windows 10 but at the time, I was too lazy to find my disc. My re-purchase is the SE version. When I did find the disc I saw that it was the CE version so that is why I am trying to play from the disc. I did the same thing with a couple of other game re-purchases, thinking that my discs were probably all SE's but have since found out they are not.

You should play the game, Marian, if you're a fan of that type of game. I am going to try to replay my Penny Dreadful: Sweeney Todd game too (disc and also re-purchased). I had Mystery in London: On the Trail of Jack the Ripper disc installed on my Win 7, which I have NOT played, but when I clicked on that the game would not open and there was a bunch of writing about something or other. I will uninstall it and try to re-install to see what happens. This one I have not re-purchased.

I will move the game up on my play list, ob. I am a fan of that type of game.

Does BF still carry the Mystery in London game? I am seeing a game called Mystery in London but not sure if it's the same thing that you are mentioning.

Sweeney Todd - I did replay a portion of the game a few months ago. Haven't finished it yet but intend to.

Big Fish just put up a Flashback sale that you should check out if you haven't already. It's quite a good discount for non-Club members too.

Yes, that is the same Mystery in London game.

I'll take a look at the Flashback sale. Thanks. It does not show up on my screen anywhere but when I opened the game manager I was able to go to it.

Okay, thanks for letting me know.

The Flashback sale is showing for me on the top of the homepage. I remember your having this issue before. Glad you got it through the Game Manager.

I don't know if the sale icon on the homepage is picky or what. Sometimes I see it and sometimes not, or maybe all the time but later than you might see it.

Well, fortunately, the game started me up right back at the puzzle I was stuck in, heh, heh. I managed to figure it out during commercials while I was watching something on tv.

Has anyone played Machinika Museum, a game on Steam? I'm not sure if it's a casual or an adventure; but I just did play it, finished it, and the second instalment is coming out next week. (Tough puzzles, great graphics.)

I finished Cursed Fates: The Headless Horseman tonight. Didn't remember much of it at all, so glad I replayed it. There were quite a bit of HO scenes and I usually couldn't find one thing, of course. No hints were used there but I did consult the guide twice and both times it just turned out to be something I did not see (as usual). I didn't find all of the horseshoes but that was okay.

I then uninstalled Mystery in London: On the Trail of Jack the Ripper and tried to reinstall it (in my Windows 7) but it would not install. Even though it is a disc it needed to access Big Fish and the internet and that computer is not online anymore. (I think the reason it didn't work might be because I have a different sign in on my game manager than what it would have been when I originally installed the game. Not sure if that makes sense or not since you don't have to be signed in on it at all. Not being online now I can't sign out either.) It did, however, install in my Windows 10 so I ended up starting it just to see if it works and it does.

You can play in timed mode or relaxed mode. I chose timed but I'm not sure that was a wise decision. I have to use the magnifier and still don't sometimes know what I'm looking for, such as "a famous author". A name I might be able to find but this turned out to be a picture of Robert Louis Stevenson. Sorry, but I don't know what he looks like (and I didn't put the clue together that he was the "famous author" I was looking for - duh). I ended up using a hint after clicking a couple of wrong things which makes you lose time and my time was running short. Then there was a word search puzzle that shows you pictures of what words you need to find which might also be confusing, like is it a rabbit or a bunny, and maybe you won't know what the picture is at all. I did not complete that puzzle in the time given and had to replay it. The pictures changed and so did the letters layout, but I did get it the second time.

I never opt for “timed” versions of puzzles these days. Can’t be bothered …. in Casuals OR Adventures. They just spoil the games for me. But good on you for doing so, oldbroad praise

(I can only assume it is one of the features of my very advancing years !! lol)

With HOGS and Match 3's I find myself getting bored sometimes if I have all the time in the world to play them. The timed mode keeps it more interesting even if I do have to replay scenes or levels. In the Secret Investigations series you play in timed mode (only mode) but when time runs out you just keep looking until you're finished. It irks me sometimes.

So we like “oppsite” playing modes !!
I enjoy relaxed matching/finding and then moving on to the all important (for me) storyline 😬

Playing an oldie - Forbidden Secrets - Alien Town. It's an Alawar/5BN game, and the attention to detail and style from 5BN is obvious. Enjoying it.

I am one of the small group of players who pays attention to the music, interestingly the music in this game is nearly non-existent and subtle. Must be they hired a different composer for later productions.

I also get a kick out of seeing the same framework being recycled. We've all seen that same toolshed several times; all they have to do is repopulate it with new hidden objects.

Question - there must be a new Mystery Case Files coming soon. Maybe November?

Comment - Machinika Museum is "different;" it will test your patience.
