Good morning Connie, Gerry, Fogfighter, Space Quest Fan, Draclvr, Hagatha and everyone. Doctor's appointment and grocery shopping is on my docket today. Hmmm, with any luck you'll sleep better tonight Gerry. Hopefully, the construction will stay on the other side Fogfighter and not come through the wall. Enjoying WADDB and knäckebröd. Have a wonderful day everyone

Good Wednesday morning! Cold and dreary today, the WADDB is perfect!
I have a big table full of half-rotten tomatoes, so yesterday I cleaned up a bunch of them cutting out the yucky spots and roasted them in the oven with onions and garlic. Then I pureed in my blender, added a cup of chicken broth and a cup of half and half. After seasoning with salt and pepper, it's really good! Going to be awesome with a grilled cheese for lunch. I also had a head of cauliflower that HAD to be used, so I roasted it with onions, garlic and a diced potato. I also pureed that and added chicken broth and half and half. It was really good, but a little drizzle of chili oil bumped up the umami and added a tiny bit of heat. I love soup weather!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone.
It's another ghastly rainy day and my pond is threatening to overflow again. I guess the drains can't keep up. Undaunted, fearless Dude is out there doing who knows what?
I'm meeting a friend for coffee and then I guess it's a cleaning day, followed by some gaming.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. My appointment went well with no issues found. We finally got a little rain last night...it was wonderful to wake up to the light rain and dripping trees this morning. We love soup weather too Draclvr, but grandson says soup is not filling enough. Fogfighter, it’ll be worth it once everything’s complete! Have fun at lunch Connie. Hagatha, I hope you can resolve the pond draining. The WADDB is marvelous Gerry, I'm off to enjoy a cup or two with knäckebröd and a danish. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Thursday morning! We haven't turned the furnace on yet, but may have to this weekend. I like to sleep in a cold room and the rest of the house has staying a nice comforable temperature. Probably because I've had either the oven or the stove going the last several days. Threw a couple of arm roasts in the oven yesterday with some Italian dressing seasoning packets and let them cook for several hours to shred up for roast beef sandwiches. Step-daughter and her SO arrived from Virginia yesterday with their camper trailer. Setting it up at the farm did not go well and they were grateful to walk into a warm house that smelled heavenly here.
Soot, a good report from the doctor is always a plus! Even at my age, I got one this year too. Made a couple of medication adjustments, but that's all. Fogfighter, hope the renovations don't go on TOO much longer!
League bowling tonight.

Good evening (I always think of Alfred Hitchcock's voice when I say that).
A nice, quiet day. I had my flu shot so my arm's a bit sore. It brightened up this afternoon and ended up being a beautiful day so I raked a few leaves and swept the patio.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone!
It's a Pilates morning and then the veterinary technician will be arriving to trim Willow's bear claws. I've never seen anything like her claws. They are more like bear claws than cat claws, and they grow fast.
After that -- it's a nice day and I might drive into town to do some chores.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday morning! Cold and sunny here. I finally broke down and told Alexa to turn on the furnace last night! The WADDB is really hitting the spot!
Got a call from my son in Denver last night. My two oldest grandkids have not been able to make their yearly visit for a couple of years. So, they are flying here the first week in December. I am so excited! Anna Lucy is 23 and Frank is 20. Frank does all the family cooking, so he is looking forward to cooking for us. Usually, it's me that does all the cooking! I will be catering the brunch for the horse rescue volunteers the Saturday they are here. I usually have about 40 people, so I will appreciate their help enormously as I do all the actual prep work on Friday.
Good times!

Soot I'm amazed how fast this fall is going too! Hagatha I hope Willow's claw trim went okay. Draclvr sounds like you will get a nice break from cooking when the grandkids arrive in early December. Good morning everyone. We're back into nasty weather. I have a few errands in town and then I think I might tackle building the little insulated warming house I bought for Dude. The little guy is so suspicious of strangers that if I have a visitor he won't come in, which is not a problem in the summer but these days the temperatures are very low at night. It's very heavy, which is good, but that means I have to build it outside where it will stand. Allegedly it's easy to put together but we'll see...
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
