Good morning everyone.
Draclvr, I hope Bella came home.
After almost four days of liquid diet I got the shivers and shakes really badly and that, on top of the insomnia from the antibiotic, had me wrapped in blankets in front of the fire late yesterday evening. I have to go out later today so I'm getting some soft bread and cheeses and potatoes and yams so I can have some solid food. If I feel well enough I'm make some lentil soup, My mouth is perfectly fine. I heal quickly and last time I had this surgery there were no such restrictions.
Our flock of Ravens is still here but not as noisy as before. I don't really mind them. Soon the sea lions will be back and they'll be barking all day and night.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha and oldbroad, Bella was back within 2 minutes waiting to be fed her supper! She just hauled butt after it and when she lost it in the woods, just came home. I have a GPS collar on her, so I know exactly where she is at all times. Oldbroad, all these kinds of things are so common out here in the country we don't even think about getting excited about it!
And the critter was back last night! I hadn't checked my camera videos yet when I posted earlier this morning. I have a really good close-up of it as it looked up at a camera on the house - it was right on the sidewalk. As it turned around with the giant fluffy tail I could see it was a fox! The videos I had of it yesterday were when it was running off with the chicken in its mouth. Guess I'll have to go sit out on the hummingbird porch this afternoon and see if it shows up again! I will take the shotgun with me just in case.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning Connie, soot, oldbroad, Draclvr, hagatha, Fogfighter and everyone! Wide Awake Double dark brew awaits! Draclvr I'm glad Bella came home safe and sound. Hope the fox stays away from the chickens with Bella on watch. How are you feeling this morning hagatha? Sometimes an antibiotic can cause a temp and that will make you shiver too. Hope you get to eat solid food today. Another beautiful sunny day expected today! Enjoy! Gerry

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Oldbroad, Draclvr, Hagatha and all who follow. The first of many sprinkles and showers started this morning with Francine's slow approach to the Gulf states…keep those folks in your thoughts and prayers as Francine is projected to make landfall late this afternoon or evening. Thanks for the coffee and bagels Gerry and Connie. Draclvr, it sounds like every day is an adventure in your neck of the woods…glad Bella is safe. Happy Wednesday everyone! 🐪

Hi Fogfighter, not a stray but a Hurricane currently in the Gulf of Mexico Here's a link to the National Hurricane Center where you can get information about the storm.

Good morning everyone.
We're getting some rain today and possibly tomorrow. It always makes me feel justified in having a "nothing" day.
I did eat some solid food yesterday and feel much better. I hop this isn't hurting the surgery site, but I wasn't required to do the liquid diet last time I had this surgery; just a soft diet. My periodontist is a recent graduate, so she's using the latest techniques, I guess, and is really gung-ho.
Connie, I hope you're not in Francine's path.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hi Fogfighter, not a stray but a Hurricane currently in the Gulf of Mexico Here's a link to the National Hurricane Center where you can get information about the storm. Oh dear, I hope Francine behaves well. Meanwhile there are emergency rations of instant coffee and knäckebröd in the break room. For a real calamity that'd be pretty useless without water. But this is only for coffee abstinence emergency and I'm sure there is a water and some way to boil it in the break room. Stockholm has decent 16 degrees and sunshine. No drama excpected. Happy Thursday GameBoomers.

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Oldbroad, Draclvr, Hagatha and all who follow. Gerry & Fogfighter, your double dark brew and knäckebröd are the finest way to start my day! Hagatha, Francine was not a threat for Connie. The hurricane came ashore in southern Louisiana around 5 pm CDT (2200 UTC) yesterday afternoon as a Category 2 hurricane. We will get a good soaking from Francine and are keeping watch for tornados. Take care everyone and have a wonderful Thursday.

Good morning everyone.
Glad to hear that Francine gave you a wide berth, Connie.
In spite of our recent rain we still have wildfires everywhere. There's one 20 miles from here and I'm having to use my puffer more often as a result. Over the past 10 years or so towns in BC have been demolished by wildfires and it's a constant worry now. At least where I am, I'm close to the water so the water bombers don't have far to go. We live in a rainforest that is no longer a forest and no longer has the amount of rain the area had historically.
It'll be another nothing day as I'm still feeling exhausted. I can really feel the difference between this aftereffects of this surgery and the one I had 20 years ago. Exactly the same surgery. I often forget I'm getting older but every now and then I get a reminder!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday afternoon! Just now sitting down to take a break - found a stray piece of knäckebröd left from this morning to munch on. I'm getting boxes ready to send out to the Colorado grandkids. One box goes up to Colorado State University in Fort Collins where my granddaughter is a freshman. I sent a note that I am a weirdo Grandma who sends hot sauces. Aren't Grandmas supposed to send cookies? Heck, yeah! I had a couple boxes of frozen cookies I had gotten from a little girl who was selling them as a school fund raiser. So, I got out a box and am baking her some cookies too.
I get those reminders quite often, hagatha! It's hard to remember the BC forests used to be considered rainforest. They last years have been devastating with the wildfires.
League bowling tonight!

Good morning everyone. Standard emergency rations available in the break room. I'm glad there was still some knäckebröd left for Draclvr yesterday. Over here the temperature is 16 Celsius and Ms Cloud is visiting. I hear Ms Snowflake and Mr Snow are making quite an impression in southern Germany. Almost weekend again. Always welcome. Happy Friday Gameboomers

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Oldbroad, Draclvr, Hagatha and all who follow. Draclvr, my son would rank you as the best ever, #1, Grandma for making and sending Hot Sauces … he loves Hot Sauces. Hagatha, I hope those wildfires stay away from you. Fogfighter, have a good day…I am enjoying the knäckebröd with Gerry's wide awake double dark brew. Connie, hope you get a break from the heavy rain storms. Grocery shopping is on my docket today. Take care and have a safe Friday the 13th

Good Saturday morning! Hubby's big breakfast out of the way, I'm sitting down for a quick cup of WADDB. Lots on my agenda today. Starting with heading out to the garden to pick hot peppers. I'm going to slightly smoke a batch today and then grind up with lots of garlic cloves and put in the fermentation jar with salt brine to make a hot sauce with a slightly smokey flavor. I could can tomatoes, but I'm saving these back for two of my friends to come out and put through the tomato press. They will take it home and make it into spaghetti and chili sauces. Hubby wanted a pot roast, so I will get a chuck roast out of the freezer this morning. Gotta squeeze a run in town for a few groceries too.
Unfortunately the remnants of Francine didn't give us any rain yesterday. Hubby has a couple of signs he wants to put in front of the barn and the ground is too hard!
