I love Forbidden Secrets: Alien Town. Played it several times.

Mystery Case Files will probably be released in November. It is called Mystery Case Files: The Riddle of Mrs. Bishop and is the 27th game in the series. If you go to YouTube, you can see some of the game. I prefer not to watch such things before the game's release.

Thanks, Marian. I am looking forward to that.

Now I have a question for everyone: Tell me your favorite Match-3 and your favorite solitaire games.

A friend of mine is recovering from Covid so serious that she lost the use of her legs. She is getting stronger slowly and right now needs more entertainment, Help will be much appreciated.

Of the match 3 games that I have played that have an untimed-mode (I am assuming this would be preferable to timed mode) option, I would suggest Cave Quest 2. Long, elaborate, and fun. There is a Collector's Edition as well as a standard version.

Regency Solitaire II has been out on Big Fish for a few weeks now. I haven't played it yet, but if it is anything like the first game, it is probably worth recommending. My other recommendation for solitaire would be The Chronicles of Emerland, which I thought was just great.

All the best to your friend. And if you need more recommendations, please let me know.

Thanks. I am going to pass those along and try them myself. I quite liked Regency I.

I tried Cave Quest 2 and I like the way there is a mix of match-3 and adventure elements but I fear Cave Quest isn't pretty enough for my friend who likes Jewel Quest. Therefore, I now want to know if there are any match-3s that are as attractive as Jewel Quest.

All of the Jewel Match match-3 games are very pretty and there are quite a few of them in Collector's and standard editions. Let me know if you need specific titles. A search on Big Fish should bring them up: Aquascapes, Royale, Winter Wonderland, etc. They also have solitaire games with 200+ levels.

My friend already knows about Jewel Match and likes it. Too much, which is driving my friend's spouse nuts. She wants her wife to play something else, so I'm looking for another slightly match-3 series to suggest.

I'm buying Cave Quest 2 for me. I enjoy toddling along as a velvet hat.

Another popular match-3 series: Runefall (standard version only) and Runefall 2 (standard and Collector's). There are other similar match-3 games by this developer as well. You would have to see if they pass the "pretty enough" test, though. There is more going on than just match-3, so this might also prove to be a negative.

Other very popular match-3 series include the Laruaville games, the Cursed House series, and the Spellarium series.

Have you done a search of just Match 3 games on Big Fish? (Hover on PC Game and click on the Match 3 "button"). If you narrow your search to English there are 16 pages of just Match 3 games maybe you can browse through how they look. I have not played these games so I cannot actually recommend them but a quick look showed me 3 games called Ancient Jewels that look interesting.

Oops, I meant another "sightly" match-3 game, not a "slightly" match-3.

I played some Laruaville at Marian's suggestion, I think a few months ago, and liked them. I love the humor; however, Runefall is sounding like just the ticket. Thanks. I couldn't remember the name. Runefall will be pretty enough if it's the same game I remember.

Oldbroad, I had no idea I could search BFG by starting with hovering a cursor. I am going to do that now.

There is a series of 4 games called "The Adventures of" (Perseus, Theseus, Jason and the Argonauts, and MaryAnn: Lucky Pirates. I've played the Perseus game and liked it.

I went ahead and installed Jason and the Argonauts but didn't start it yet. I did start a regular casual game though called Spirit Legends: Solar Eclipse and played quite a bit of it.

Hovering the cursor doesn't work for me but I did find a BFG page with match-3 games by googling. Thanks for letting me know there is one.

I probably am just not saying it right but I'm glad you were able to get to the match 3 games and I hope you find something.

I finished Spirit Legends: Solar Eclipse last night. It was a pretty good game.

Tonight I started Inbetween Land. I played for 45 minutes. It is starting out good.

That all sounds good, ob.

I have been playing Maze of Realities: Synergy of Worlds. I am enjoying it.

I am pretty sure I have Inbetween Land - will have to check.

Still (!) playing Tricky Doors. Only one episode to go. I like the fact that it's broken up into 20 episodes that each come to an end - it gives you an excuse to quit today and come back later. Still High Praise for 5-BN

Also picked up the latest Grim Tales. Bought it without trying the demo, which I almost never do. That's because I have played so many Grim Tales in the past, I trusted them to maintain their style and quality. Sad to say that was a mistake. If I had tried the demo, would not have bought it. Ah well; that's the way it is.

I haven't played this newest Grim Tales game yet, but so far I have found that some of the entries in this series were good and some were merely okay.

I finished Mystery in London: On the Trail of Jack the Ripper tonight. Not too exciting.

I didn't get around to Inbetween Land today. I left off last night on a nasty slider puzzle. I probably won't spend too much more time on it. We'll see.

Oh, yuck. Slider puzzles are not something I enjoy unless they have very few pieces.

And your thoughts on Mystery in London are noted.

I am currently playing Halloween Chronicles: Evil Behind a Mask.

I gave the slider puzzle another 20 minutes or so and then I skipped it. I just can never get the last piece in place, you know two need to be switched around. I finished the game which is pretty short, but I liked it.

I went ahead and started Grim Tales 1: The Bride. I have played just the first chapter. So far, so good.

All of a sudden I'm having trouble with Grim Tales. It was very easy but then I hit a puzzle that I just couldn't understand and after a while (not too long), I skipped it. I didn't try the guide for two reasons. One because the puzzle changed each time it restarted after making a mistake, and two because when I opened the guide a few days ago to see how many chapters there are in the game, it froze the game up and I had to Alt/F4 to get out. Then I got to another puzzle and there is snow falling in the puzzle and it's making me dizzy. I don't know why I am getting dizzy easier and easier lately in these games and even briefly while watching tv today. Anyway, I got out of the game rather than skip the puzzle. I'll try again tomorrow. I think I've just been too tired lately.
