Good Sunday morning! That's quite a spread in the break room! I mean, apple pie, cupcakes, Connie's goodies! Wow! I'll just have some of the WADDB for now.

I slept in very late this morning, so I'm getting a slow start to the day. Oh, well! After yesterday, I think I was tired! I guess now that I am 77, I'm actually OLD!

Draclcr, at 77 you have more energy than most of us! Certainly more than I do.

It looks as though summer is over here. Yesterday we had a high of 16, and right now it's 14 C here with strong winds starting soon. It's a boon for the lawn, though. One of these days it'll be dry enough to mow one last time. I'm not a lawn fanatic anyways; mowing twice a month keeps it looking green and healthy.

I'm not looking forward to turning the heat on in my house but I do wish it would cool off a bit here. We had a week of really nice weather before this heat came back.

I think my brother mowed the lawn only 2 or 3 times this year. When it cools off, he will do it one more time. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to grow too much. The bush/evergreen (whatever it is) in front of my house can use a good trimming though.

Not to steer the conversation back to bugs, but I killed a Giant sized spider in my bathtub last night. I am used to spiders and centipedes but this one was too big!

Fogfighter, I so hope you enjoyed your outing to the cafe today. Someday I hope to get out to see some former co-workers and friends.

Draclvr 77 is not so old! You are so active it will keep you feeling young! I just turned 81 this month and feel pretty good...I continue to walk every day 2 to 4 miles.

Good Monday morning! Enjoying my WADDB this morning before I have to get things set up out in the garage. Two friends are coming out to work up a bunch of tomatoes. We'll wash and cook them until they are soft and run them through the electric tomato press. They put the juice in gallon jugs and take it back to town with them and freeze to make into chili and spaghetti sauce and can it later. I'm so glad I have enough to share finally!

I'd like to get in one final weeding, but it's so dry here, it's nearly impossible to pull weeds.

Finally, I'm able to go to Pilates again, although I have to admit I don't really feel like it. However, must keep moving! Also, I bought a macaroni-cheese with bacon from the farm market yesterday, and it was wicked good, and probably wickedly calorific. Better burn it off.

Summer seems to be over. There's a real bite in the air this morning, and Willow, the fair-weather cat, refuses to go out. Dude's leg is now perfectly okay, so off he goes every morning, out the door at high speed.

It kinda sounds like we're all ready for things to slow down after the busy spring and summer! I could use a good rainy day or even a blizzard to keep me inside with a cup of tea and some gaming myself!!!

Yet a pleasant day with 19 Celsius and slightly cloudy. No hurricanes, no blizzards.
