We're in the midst of our first atmospheric river event, which means drenching rain and high winds. Normally these don't start until later in the year; usually around November. I hope the drains on my pond are working! This will bring all the leaves down, too.

Good Saturday morning! Ahhhh... a cup of Gerry's WADDB and some time to myself! Hubby's big Saturday breakfast done, but still have to clean up. Just trying to decide what to do with my day... now that's a nice feeling to have nothing scheduled!

Pretty much the same weather here too, Gerry. Have fun with your daughter this week! We'll forgive you if we have to make our own coffee for the break room!

My daughter arrived yesterday afternoon. The weather is perfect...sunny and warm...in the 70s. We had a nice light dinner and went for an early evening walk.

We will spend the day together shopping in our local boutiques lunch out while her hubby spends the day visiting with his son.

Good Sunday morning! We're having the same weather as you are, Gerry... glorious warm fall day. Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time with your family.

We are going to a somewhat impromptu family reunion thing today. I don't really know any of these people as this is my husband's side of the family and they just don't get together at all. But I'm sure it will be a fine time with good food. I'm taking some of the sweet corn from last year as I'm really needing to get rid of it.

Good morning Connie, Gerry, Draclvr, Space Quest Fan, Hagatha and all who follow. Enjoying wonderful fall weather with afternoons in the low 70s which certainly beats the summer's triple digit temps. Our hummers have headed south to their wintering habitat, but will keep the feeders up for another week for the stragglers. Enjoying my second cup of WADDB with a danish and leftover knäckebröd. I'll catch up with my to-do list, make a quick grocery run and then settle down to my music and a book.

We're still in the middle of our atmospheric river with its drenching rain. Low spots are flooding, including roads, so it's a bad one this time. Fortunately i don't have to be anywhere.

Dan, music and a book sounds about right for a day like today. I'll turn on the fire and make a pot of chai.

SQF, it rained so hard for so long that my pond's drains couldn't keep up. I had to go out and empty it with a bucket. Not fun.

Working with hubby taking all the tomato cages down today. We will pull up the plants and take them down to a brush pile in the pasture. Time to button everything up for the coming winter.

I was having the loveliest afternoon and then I cracked a tooth in half crunching on a Halls. Half my tooth came out! Fortunately it doesn't hurt, but it does mean a trip to the dentist tomorrow.

Good Tuesday morning! Slow start to the day so the WADDB is really hitting the spot.

The trees are finally starting to change color here. We should have a particularly beautiful fall display this year because of all the rain we got in August. It's a big thing here to take a drive out to the country to see the fall color and stop at a winery on the way home!

I hope they can cap that tooth and save it, hagatha! That's a good question, Fogfighter!! Have even MORE fun today, Gerry!
