Yes, I'm sure they can fix the tooth. I think what popped out was already a filling. And if not, well, there's always a post. It's a back molar, so it's not unsightly. Fogfighter, the Tooth Fairy did not come last night. I was hoping she'd leave enough pennies to pay for the filling.

It's raining again. I was just watching a news clip about some houses in North Vancouver (in Deep Cove) that got washed out during the heavy rains over the weekend. Six homes had to be evacuated. Unprecedented.

I've been enjoying my daughters visit and the weather has cooperated...sunny, warm, in the upper 70s with a nice breeze! Sadly she will be heading home today.

Good Wednesday morning! I think two more days of this gorgeous warmish weather and then it's back down to sweatshirt weather. That's OK... it's time!

I did get a small batch of that beautiful bright yellow hot sauce made yesterday. It's a Caribbean style with sauteed onions, carrots and garlic with vinegar and lime juice. The bottles are so pretty and it sounds so good! Unfortunately, it's going to be someone else who can eat this fiery stuff! I like hot stuff, but this is beyond the pale! Maybe it would work on a Jamaican Jerk Chicken or something.

Gerry, sounds like you couldn't have had a better visit with your daughter! I know my mom always hated it when we left.

It's cold this morning! I'll have my coffee in front of the fire today.

If it stays dry I'll start raking up leaves, since the big drop has begun. And the Hostas have disintegrated into slime, so I'll get rid of those.

Good morning Hagatha, Draclvr, Connie, Gerry, Fogfighter and all who follow. We've warmed back up to normal October temps and are enjoying a sunny day. Just back from the vet for our routine monthly shot and check-up. Hagatha, enjoying coffee in front of the fire sounds marvelous. The Gerry, so glad you had an awesome visit with your daughter...the hardest part of a wonderful visit is the goodbye, but the memories you made will keep you smiling until next time.

A pretty neat day today with sunshine and 14 celsius. Though the days tend to get short now.

Hagatha: sorry to hear the fairy didn't come with pennies. No fair fairy. I think at least a halfpenny would have been appropriate.

I can't believe the Tooth Fairy did you like that hagatha.

To my great surprise. after an hour in the dentist's chair today for the actual work, I was told that it was no charge because it was a replacement filling for work that had been done earlier this year. I was expecting a bill of about $750.00.

The Tooth Fairy works in mysterious ways...never doubt her.

Good Thursday morning! The WADDB is the perfect thing this chilly morning.

Getting a couple of boxes of that fiery yellow hot sauce to send to my friend from work and my great nephew in Iowa. He's a volunteer fireman - in addition to studying for his PhD in nursing and working at an ER - and can't wait to take them to the firehouse! Want to get them in the mail today.

And I'm going to go ahead and vote early while I'm in town. They opened that the day before yesterday in Missouri. They said the lines are epic.

It's COLD this morning. It went down to 4C last night. I'm going to have to haul out the extra blankets.

Also, Dude seems to be re-evaluating his enthusiasm for going outside. He does still go out, but not for 12 hour stretches. I did buy him a little warming house for outside, just in case he dallies too long at night, but have yet to put it together. I need to clear out a work space in the garage, which means spending some time putting things down in the crawl space. That's going to be my project for the next couple of weeks, since I've put it off for months now.

As for Willow, if it's not warm and sunny, she's not going out. A most sensible animal.

I'm off to Comox today.

I got a box full of legacy PC cables but nothing fits iPad.

Good Friday morning! Kind of dark and gloomy outside - I sure hope that means some rain!

A friend is coming over later this morning. She is struggling with eating better - staying away from processed foods, preservatives and what the food industry foists upon us. So I'm making up a "goodie basket" for her of lots of stuff preserved from my gardens. She said she doesn't have a lot of time to cook, but I told her the only way to get away from all that stuff is to make the time to cook... get an InstaPot and a large crock pot. Take one day a month to do prep work and freeze it... lots of ways.
