Good morning Gerry, SpaceQF, Connie, Fogfighter, Draclvr, Hagatha, Marian and all who follow. I found myself doing the same thing Gerry and SpaceQF so took my leftover candy to my old office to let them snack on it. Relaxing with Gerry's marvelous brew and Fogfighter's knäckebröd. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Saturday morning! Very chilly this morning, but the sun is shining and I hope the wind doesn't pick up. I have an outdoor "spreading of the ashes" for someone to attend today.
Rhonda ran a shelter for the oldest and most damaged dogs the Amish dump out of their puppy mills. She had some horrendous cases which I can't describe. She also took in dogs that were going to be shot or euthanized for being vicious. Every time, it was because of extreme abuse. She could work miracles with these dogs. Several years ago, she wasn't feeling well and I threatened to take her to a doctor myself if she didn't go. Turns out she had CLL, a chronic form of leukemia, for many years and it was finally manifesting itself. I took her to all her doctor and chemo appointments as she didn't drive. She died a year and a half ago and her Board of Directors for the Foundation have kept it going as a low cost spay/neuter program. Luckily, they were able to find homes for the many animals she had, including 2 elderly horses. Anyway, have to head to the farm she had which is WAAAAY out in the boonies! I have to drive THROUGH two creeks to get to the house!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Oh Draclvr, that is so sad for your friend as well as those poor animals. I just don't understande how people can be so cruel to innocent animals.

Good morning everyone! 11 Celsius and sunny. Windy but no storm. I hope you can survive the day Gerry. Despite the time mess. I wish they could finally end the lunacy. Knäckebröd for emergency use available in the break room. Happy Sunday GameBoomers

Good morning everyone.
That coffee is much needed this morning. For some reason Willow took it into her head to wake me up at 3 am. And then howled at 4:30 am, and then at 6:30 am. I'm beginning to wonder if she's gone a little bit dotty. She's only 11, but I have to wonder since she's apparently in pretty good health aside from her weight.
Fortunately I have only one errand today and I'll be back home by noon.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Sunday morning! Yeah, this time change thing is awful for so many people. I never even notice it, but it's awful for many others. Just have to reset the microwave and the oven. Sometimes I just leave the one in the truck the same!
The little get-together for Rhonda at her rescue farm yesterday was really nice. About 10 people were there and the young woman who runs the Foundation now had hot dogs, cookies and her husband made a nice fire. Beautiful day too. Rhonda's ashes were spread and they plan on planting a tree on the site in the spring. There are plans for building a pole barn and setting up a low-cost mobile spay/neuter clinic in the future.
Planning on a lazy day gaming today.

What are you going to play, Draclvr? I'm wondering about starting Veilguard, see if it runs well on the Steam Deck.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I spent a little time in the first Little Nightmares. Couldn't make a difficult jump and quit. My only complaint about the game is the save points are too far apart. If I fail, I don't want to have to go back and play a long time to get back to it.

Good Monday morning! We had more rain, lightning and thunder last night. Supposed to get more rain today. Hubby hasn't walked down to the end of the driveway to look at the rain gauge yet. It probably STILL won't be enough considering how dry it is here!
I've settled into the time change already. I sure do hate it getting dark by 5:00 though!

Good morning everyone.
The feline alarm went off early again this morning. Hopefully she'll adjust soon.
We're in the midst of another wild atmospheric river, with high winds and driving rain. I expect we'll have a power outage at some point, hopefully not before I get out for my Pilates class. I'm fairly certain that my garage door and gate are on a battery back-up, but I can't remember how to activate it!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! I do hope I get used to the time change soot. We could sure use some of that rain Draclvr...no rain here since August...just a few hit or miss sprinkles! Hagatha, I think if you lose power the battery back up will work automatically with the garage door remote...at least my does. Enjoy your day! Gerry

Good morning everyone.
I'll have some of that nice coffee, and then I'm off to Pilates. After that, I'm taking a quick trip downtown for cat food (I swear I spend more on cat food than human food) and I'll spend the afternoon on a nice gaming session.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Tuesday morning! Oh, my goodness... rain. We went from severe drought to the rain gauge which holds 6 inches, overflowing this morning. Severe flooding all over, especially south of us. Interstate closed due to flooding. I suspect our road to town will be under water by tomorrow and we'll have to take the long way around. I wish we could send some of this your way, Gerry!
