I'd like to start a thread asking what do you believe was/is the coolest game you've ever played? Mine is Black Dahlia.

Anybody's opinions?

Laurette, this is the perfect question to ask in Adventure Games Discussions! I suspect Marian will move it there for you.

Coolest game doesn't necessarily mean favorite or best game though, right?

I meant what you personally thought was your favorite in that respect.

With so many excellent games over the last several decades it’s difficult to select just one …. But I will go with “Gabriel Knight : Sins of the Fathers” as one of the coolest Adventures ever to emerge 🌟🌟🌟

I will go with: Culpa Innata, as Mad said there so many but this one was special for me, too bad they could not get the follow up out.

I'd say Grim Fandango and the grossly underrated Face Noir.

I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing this name but for me it's the original Myst released in 1994 for Windows. It is the coolest/best game I have ever played. It was this game that got me hooked on pc adventure gaming going on 30 years now. I could not put it down. I didn't wanna believe the game was over and for some time I looked around the island hoping to find another age. There hasn't been a game since Myst that has gotten a hold of me like it did

I really enjoyed Black Dalia and Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. I didn't try Face Noir. Steam has it. I might have to give this 2013 release a try

The Original Myst

I would have to go with Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. Time for a replay!

And Face Noir is on sale here for $2.49.

For me, I think it's Machinarium. And I think it's time for another replay! I sure wish Amanita would make a sequel...

Very nice deal on Face Noir Marian. Earlier I added it to my Steam cart waiting for Steam's Fall Sale next week. If does not go on sale I will grab it from Humble. Thank you!

The Beast Within was a very long game, excellent story. This was a game me and my wife really enjoyed

It's hard to decide on one game only. There are so many that made my day (or should I say night).
From the classic adventure section it was "Riven" that fascinated me most when playing it for the first time.
From storytelling it was "Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy" (although it contains action and timed events).
When taking music into consideration, "Last Day of June" was just so beautiful to listen to.
And I'm ending my list with the funniest game I've played which is "There is no Game – Wrong Dimension"
