Kim, make sure you do all the quests you want to do before you bang that gong in the council chambers, because NO, you can't go back! And there is still quite a bit of ground to cover once you're in the Wastelands, but yeah, that's the last part of the game. That Shrimpo quest is one of the funniest! I laughed myself silly over it.
And TC, but just fight one of the thieves, and they quickly decide you shouldn't share their money!!! And there are so many little touches in the game like that with the chairs - And I didn't notice that! - but there are little things that come up with the characters to give everyone a personality of sorts.

Going to whine and snivel a little. Where oh where do I go to get my teleporter pyramids back? I can't get back into Stormfist Castle by the front door. Is there some other entrance I'm missing?

Marion, you don't get your teleporters back from the castle - you'll find them near the council of seven when you do that part, where the bad imp went that took them. So, once you get into that part, you can get your teleporters before you bang the gong, if you want to have them to finish other quests first.
And Kim, let me know if you need a hint about the Shrimpo quest.

I finished with the orc jail and ended up near a wishing well. Does it matter what I wish for?

Norma, the best thing would probably be to go a level up, unless you are ready to complete the game (banging the gong). You don't need to give the highest amount of money either, but I've forgotten the choices.

Marion, if you still have quests you want to do and/or you didn't get your teleporters back before you did that, you might want to reload, since you can't go back. You'll note that the ceremony raised you in level - what did it raise you to?

I have gone on and am in the process of leveling up in the ENDLESS sewers. Man, I love the sound the lizards make when they die. It's a Monty Python Holy Grail sort of "arrrrggghhhh!! lol

Marion, did you have to reload, or didn't you have all the members assembled?

When my character encounters a locked door sometimes she says - "This door is locked tighter than a dwarves ... " and I can't understand what the next word is ... antlers, pampers ...? Does anyone know?

And Nickie, yeah, a Shrimpo hint would be great.

Nickie -

I didn't even know about assembling the races when I banged on the gong. I was just waiting for the succubus to kill me and was fooling around. It doesn't seem to have affected the game.

Thank you Audrey and Nickie, I will wait and level up when I get back to the wishing well. I have to find the elf and dwarf for the council and then I will have all of them. I found the elf, but have to retrieve some items for him. How is the best way to get the grail? When I take it I get surrounded by guardians. I try freezing them but there are so many.

Norma, if you are that far in the game, don't do the level up at the wishing well, instead opt for an increase in a statistic, like Marion said. As soon as you go through the ceremony after getting all the council in place and banging the gong, the game raises you in level (several, not sure if it is always four levels or if you go to 42 automatically).
And can you give more information about where you are? Were you saying that you are trying to get the grail to complete a different quest, not the holy relics but the cup?
Kim, where you got the quest from the salesman to find Shrimpo, had you just been in the graveyard immediately behind you? If not, you'll have to wait on that quest. If you have, you need to go back in the graveyard and start reading tombstones. And remember to save. Let me know if you need another hint.

Thanks Nickie. I did some other quests and now trying to get into Sir Patricks to steal his deed of trust. I can't get into the other part of his house. Is there a way to get in? I can only get into several rooms.
The grail cup that I tried to steal was in a cave near the dwarve mines. I had to kill some monster and there were piles of gold around a doorway. Is that the holy grail that I need to steal?
I have the quest to find Shrimpo also. Will he be in a grave near the grave yard?
Thank you. smile

I found a way into Sir Patrick's house. There is a teleporter outside. smile
Do I need a holy grail? Where is the one I need? I sure hope I don't need the one near the dwarve mines.

Oh ... ale purse ... should have known that ... I take my ale purse with me whenever I go out for a night on the town.

What and where is this wishing well?

Thanks for the Shrimpo hint Nickie ... found him, killed him, and listened to Apollo's long story :-)

The Holy grail is for a quest that an alchemist in the elven forest asks for, to heal the animals. Then there's a quest to get the three relics that have been stolen from the elfs too. The relics you'll need for the main quest, and the holy grail is just another quest that you can do, or not. It sounds like you were doing the first one, right? Where you walk past a lot of guardians that don't bother you, until you try to take the cup? And you also have to find three holy relics for yourself. It all gets kind of confusing.
You need to read the tombstones in the graveyard on the Shrimpo quest - not all of them can be read, just a few, and you might want to circle around the northeast corner. If you need more help at that point, just yell.

I got side tracked again and in the Verdistis sewers. I made a mistake by killing the thieves and now replaying it. Lost my reputation frown
Oh well.. seemed like a good thing at the time.
I won't get that holy grail because I know I can't do it.
Where do you get the 3 relics? I got some cyclops eye and gave it to the elf. Now have to get something else.

lol Not a good idea to get them mad; especially since you need their cooperation for one of the relics (not the elf relics, but the relics you personally need).
Are you talking about the relics for the elfs? Go out the south gate of the village, and keep south on the path - you should see some Orcs, and you need to follow them. Or, do you mean the three items you've been told you need for the divine one?

That elf guy told me to get some relics for him. Those are the relics that I need. I got one but when I tried to get the other one I got killed right away. I don't remember what they were, but I think they were using those spikes. Do you remember where the relics are for the Elf? He won't join the council unless I bring them to him.
South gate of the village? Which village is that?
I get confused as to where I have been in this game. laugh
Thanks for your help. smile

How do you get to the River of Gold in the Dwarven Halls? Many of the Dwarves and the Dwarf King has mentioned that I should go there, but I don't know where it is.

Hi Norma:

Once while I was playing the game one of the villagers showed up as a red x, so my character automatically attacked and killed him. After that I got attacked by quite a few villagers and elves!! I finally realized what happened and went back and replayed that area again. This time the villager didn't show up as a red x, so I didn't kill him, and didn't become everyone's enemy. smile

The River of Gold just get talked about in the game, you never see it. Some of the dwarves will tell you it's just a superstition.

Thanks Jean, I looked all over for that river. lol Now I won't have to look anymore.
The thieves showed up as a green x but the conversation came up where I thought I should kill them. I learned later that it was not a good idea because when I got out of the sewer people were mad at me and my reputation was only a 9. They didn't attack but they didn't like me.
Did you finish the game? I think there are too many quests. laugh

Sorry Norma, the south gate of the elven village. You should see some Orcs - if you don't for some reason, do you know where the teleporter is down by the funeral pyres? Go south of that, and go west - you'll run into an Orc camp, and to the north of the camp there is a cave, but it's a little hard to see. There are (of course!) things to fight in the cave. Once you've cleaned that out, look for a tile that lights up to step on. And there is one tough fight.

Hi Norma:

Nickie and I both played it at the same time, and it took me a good 2 or 3 months. I'm a pretty slow game player due to the fact that I'm nosy and have to look at everything. lol

There are a lot of quests, but that's where all your leveling up will be done, so grin and bear it. lol
