Enjoy your shocking quiet and lack of fireworks, oldbroad! Nothing out here in the country.
I did finish my book at 12:01, so was actually up to welcome the New Year! I indulged in a small glass of wine and went to bed.
Loved the card, Lex! Jacquie Lawson cards are the best! Fogfighter, we have cold and snow heading our way this weekend. The cold could get down to 0 degrees F or below. That's at lease -18 degrees C!
Did laundry yesterday, so nothing on the agenda today - woot!
Happy New Year, everyone!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year to one and all. I discovered in my first year of retirement there were not enough hours in the day to do all the things that were necessary, let alone to do what I wanted to do. Yes indeed, no change from the previous many decades when I was working Made it past midnight watching movies and then reading after that. Our neighborhood fireworks were not as bad as previous years at all! You had the perfect New Year's night oldbroad. Wishing you all a very happy and blessed New Year! ps ... thank you for the card Lex ... I have always enjoyed Jacquie Lawson cards!

Good morning everyone.
We ended up having about 5 minutes of annoying fireworks right next door. They obviously woke up their own baby, because he started wailing. Thankfully, it ended quickly.
I was up reading until about 12:30, so I did usher in the new year for the first time in many years.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! A chilly morning. Not as cold as at Draclvr but still below freezing with -5 Celsius. Some snow, some ice and some sunshine. Fireworks weren't too bad and now they have stopped. All in all a decent start of the new year. Nice card Lex Happy first Thursday GameBoomers

Good morning Fogfighter, Gerry, oldbroad, hagatha, Orion and all who follow. A chilly morning here too Fogfighter and thank goodness not as cold as Draclvr either. Enjoyed the brisk air on my walk this morning and now drinking my first cup of Gerry's WADDB and enjoying my music. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone

Good Thursday morning! I have a guy coming to look at my range later this morning, so need to get all my cast iron pans out of it. Just have time for a quick cup of WADDB. The thermostat seems to be out of whack and I can't regulate any temps. Tried fixing it in the settings, but no luck. Luckily this local appliance store services everything they sell. It's why I always buy from them rather than Lowes or Home Depot.
The second half of bowling starts tonight. We ended up in 2nd place the first half which is really good for us!

Good morning!
I have to run into town to the bank, but otherwise, it's another day of leisure for me. If it stops raining I'll go for a walk.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday morning Gerry, Fogfighter, hagatha, Draclvr, connie and all in the hunt for WADDB and a snack. Did you get a walk in hagatha and Gerry? How did the second half of your bowling league kick off Draclvr? Stay warm Fogfighter...those are chilly temperatures! Did trivia night at CVI crown you as the reigning genius connie? Have a wonderful Friday everyone

Good morning everyone,
I'm off to Pilates this morning, but having a really hard time getting motivated today.
I didn't get my walk in yesterday. At 11:30 I got a text reminding me of a dental appointment at 1:00. I had forgotten! That took up most of the afternoon. Perhaps to day I'll have time for a walk, weather permitting.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Friday morning! Sun... there is sun! Unfortunately, it won't last long. We are preparing for a major winter storm with potentials for a lot of ice and snow followed by bitter cold. It's supposed to start late Saturday night.
I've heard the stores are just stupid with crowds, but I need to make a run in town to get some cat food from the vet and a couple of things from the grocery store.

Hello all, A rare event will be taking place tonight and tomorrow night Friday night about an hour after sunset Venus and a crescent moon will be very close to one another. It will be quite the sight about 30+ degrees above the horizon. Venus will be the very bright looking star followed by the moon and Saturn further to the east. Tomorrow night the moon sits next to Saturn. Use binoculars preferably on a stand if you have one but neither are needed to see the event. Binoculars depending on their magnification you'll be able to see craters on the moon. Saturn gets eclipsed by the moon but it is a daytime event on the 4th Video
It's never too late!
