Captive Curse bonus edition
can somebody tell me where is this sign that's on the left of the archway that's outside the castle

I would suggest you look through YouTube's collection of Captive Curse video walkthroughs - you might find your answer there if someone is playing the bonus edition. MaG's GameBoomers walkthrough mentions some extras from the bonus edition but I do not see any mention of a sign in the courtyard.

I have the bonus edition, I loaded it, but don't see any signs so I'm not sure what you're asking about...unless you mean the paper (about musical notes) on the down-wards stairs
