LOL! Judith, I'd just settle for a margarita right now! Ran a sample in to the doctor's office and of course, it's a UTI. They have called in a prescription for antibiotics to the pharmacy, so I will have to run in town again this afternoon.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Draclvr if hubby is on a strong antibiotic be sure he takes a probiotic to keep from getting a C-diff infection. There are certain antibiotics that can kill the good bacteria in the colon...especially in older adults...it happened to my hubby several years ago. I do hope your weather improves and you get some down time. Wishing everyone a peaceful Wednesday! Gerry

Good Wednesday morning! Just popping in before we head in town for his post-op appointment with his surgeon. Just two doses of the Cipro and he's already feeling better.
Gerry, I'm quite familiar with C-diff and how utterly terrible it is! But Cipro is a quick and dirty 5-day course of antibiotics. He's done it several times before for other things. Did you know that for really severe cases which can't be resolved with pro-biotics etc., they have found that taking a "poop pill" to restore the microbiota in the colon is effective?!
Another day in the mid-50's so maybe another tenth of an inch of this ice will thaw!

Good morning everyone...looks like I'm following in Draclvr's footsteps as we head out the door for a vet appointment. Weather is wonderful today as we climb to the mid-60s. WADDB and a bagel to go please. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, Draclvr, hagatha, SpaceQ, and everyone! Wide awake Double Dark brew awaits. I hope all went well with hubby's appointment and the pain is easing. I have not heard of the "poop" pill but have heard of fecal microbiota transplant (FMT)....placing a donor's stool in your colon! Hope you all have a sunny day! Gerry

Good Thursday morning! Fabulous conversation for early in the morning, Gerry! Yes, the FDA approved the pill a few years ago.
Post-op visit went well. X-ray showed replacement is still textbook perfect. Pain is easing up and just 2 days on the Cipro has eliminated the UTI symptoms. He will stay on it for another 3 days. I think he has turned the corner! Just in time because I'm exhausted! Hope I can get the trash down to the end of the driveway today. I couldn't last week because of the ice. It's raining right now and above freezing, so I HOPE that gets rid of the rest of it!
League bowling tonight.
