Today is going to be a snowy day beginning around 6am this morning...it will be snow to start then turn to an icy mix till late today as it gets above freezing. Because the ground is so cold it will be very icy under the snow! No walk today!

Good afternoon everyone. Enjoyed a cup of WADDB and a Danish this morning while doing chores. Time to chip away on projects this afternoon. Unseasonably warm today as we started out at 66 and now at 77. Gerry and Judity, sounds like a good day to stay inside.

We are now expecting a storm come Saturday night that will bring 6 to 10 inches of new snow...I sure hope the weatherman is wrong!

Finally weekend again. Still winter with temperatures around the freezing point. No dramatic weather expected the next days. The days are getting longer but it's already darkening.

Good morning Connie and Gerry and all who follow. Good timing on my part for WADDB and donuts! Another warm start this morning for us. Groceries are on my docket this morning and then it'll be time to tackle projects.

Good Friday morning! Indeed, perfect timing on the WADDB. So nice to wake up to the smell of coffee... hubby is now able to come downstairs and make his own breakfast in the morning now like he used to.

Fogfighter, how many hours of daylight do you have there now? Connie, that is WAAAY to warm this early! Hope it doesn't portend a hotter than usual summer.

I'm going to be optimistic this dreary cold morning and order my tomato and pepper seeds. For sure we won't be having the usual sweet corn, radishes, green beans etc. But even if hubby isn't able to put the big tiller on his tractor, I will be able to use my small walk-behind tiller to at least work up a space for my tomatoes. Can't imagine a summer without tomatoes!

We're still snow-covered, although of course it's turned to snow over ice. I haven't been able to get my vehicle back into the garage for days -- my driveway is short but steep and very icy. Fortunately I have two huge gravel parking spots at the side of the road so my vehicle is safe, but it's a real pain for grocery shopping.

Good morning, everyone!

I'm a bit sore this morning after I spent much of the afternoon chipping the 1-inch layer of ice on my driveway so I could get my vehicle back in the garage. I tried salting it but the ice was so thick it made things worse, slush on top of hard ice.

I must say, I was a bit disappointed that none of my neighbours offered to help. Everywhere else I've lived, somebody would have. Anyway, at least the CRV is back in the garage and safe. Now it's pouring down a mixture of snow and rain and then it's going to freeze up again overnight.

Hagatha, that sounds miserable. Sorta like what we had a few weeks ago on a smaller scale. Give me snow any day, but that ice is dreadful. Does Dude stay inside when it's awful like this?

Dude was scared of the snow until Willow went out and started digging in it. Now he roams around as usual, just not for very long.

Emergency use instant coffee and knäckebröd is available in the break room.

Super Bowl is not a thing here in Europe. As I understand it it will be in the late night/early morning hours.
I will miss the whole thing but guess highlights will be shown later.

We had a few inches of snow overnight and now it is an icy mix and is supposed to return to all snow before it ends. I will be staying inside all day for sure...working on a 1,ooo pice puzzle and will do some gaming too.
