Good Sunday morning! I actually saw the sun peek through for about 30 seconds earlier, but I think that's it for the day. Pretty dark, dreary and below freezing again.
Sounds like a good day to stay inside, Gerry!
No Super Bowl parties for us. We never go to them anyway. We will watch the game though as the Chiefs are a Missouri team. I usually make home made pizza.
Got a call about 8:00 last night from the Longmeadow Ranch manager asking if I could do the night closing at 9:00. Our maintenance guy who lives down there had just called her saying he was sick. She was SOOOO grateful when I said, no problem. She lives 45 minutes away and would have had to drag her kids along with her out in the cold! It's a one minute drive for me. I had to feed 11 skinny horses, so it took over an hour. The hay bales they have right now are really heavy, so I was grateful for the little garden wagons to haul it down the aisles!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone.
We're in a nasty melt/freeze cycle right now. I don't have to go anywhere so I won't. I'm hoping that by tomorrow I'll be able to get to my Pilates classes -- I missed all three last week.
I love the idea of those rescue horses all snugged down and fed and cared for.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Indeed, hagatha. One of my favorite sounds when I turn out the lights in the barn and close the doors is the sound of horses munching hay! One of the lead employees texted me this morning to see if I could cover tonight and tomorrow night too.

Good morning Connie, Gerry, Draclvr, hagatha and all that follow. Wow, I didn't realize Valentine's Day was so close ... time is flying. Enjoying WADDB and a bagel while I figure what I want to get done today. Whew, the Philadelphia Eagles' 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last night in the Super Bowl was pretty much a blowout. The Eagles dominated on offense and defense...not a big surprise given this year's performance. Enjoy your Monday everyone ![wave wave](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave.gif)

Good morning everyone. We have another dusting of snow this morning. I'm going to have to trust the forecast that says it will melt later today because I have to get into town for cat food.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Monday morning! Very cold, but at least I see the sun.
Gerry, still sounds like a good day to stay inside. We're supposed to get some snow on Tuesday night, but it's not supposed to amount to much.
As always, adventures while doing the night closing at the Ranch. Last night, it was the big electronic gate that wouldn't cooperate. It's pretty critical that the facility is secured at night as we sometimes have legal issues when abusive owners are prosecuted and we seize animals. Back in 2014 when I did the closing for over a year, I got WAY too familiar with the big scary green control box for the gate! But nothing I did worked, so the facility was open all night. Hope they get it fixed today!

Good Tuesday morning! They are saying we're going to get more sleet and snow than they first thought - maybe 3 - 5 inches. I'm good with that as long as we don't have that horrid ice again! Glad you squeezed in a long walk, Gerry!
No adventures down at the Ranch last night - that's always a good thing. The maintenance guy will be back at work today, so he will take over again. Josh is only in his late 40's, but he got blown up in Iraq in an IED attack, so has a lot of health issues.
Made a trip in to the grocery store to stock up on a few things just in case they don't clear the roads out here right away.
Just going to sit here with a cup of WADDB before I get started mopping floors.

Good morning everyone; warming up a bit but still cold. I had some frozen strawberries in the freezer & decided to make strawberry muffins. A nice warm muffin with some butter & a coffee goes down good on a cold day. Stay safe everyone.

Good evening everyone.
We're still in a cold snap. Fortunately it hasn't been snowing, so I've manage to clean up my path and driveway. Stores have restocked salt so I was able to grab a bag, and I'll pick up another for next year so I don't get iced in again.
Apparently our temperatures this week could be record cold for this area.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning connie, Draclvr, hagatha, soot, Fogfighter, judith, SpaceQ, and everyone! ![wave wave](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave.gif) Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. It was a cloudy day yesterday, but no wind so i was able to take my 4 mile walk. Ran errands too and dropped off my tax documents to my CPA to file...one less thing to do. It is snowing right now...was supposed to be only a dusting this morning, but it is accumulating. We are expecting a snow storm tonight into tomorrow morning... ![winter winter](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/winter.gif) Hope you all stay warm and safe today. ![wave wave](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave.gif) Gerry ![catrub catrub](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/catrub.gif)

Good morning everyone.
We had a record low for February last night and my pond is trying to freeze up. I might check on the Canadian Tire website to see if they have any pond heaters but at this time of year it's debatable. Otherwise, I'll be out there chipping ice again.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Wednesday morning! With the exception of Connie, most of us seem to be having dreadful cold weather. Snowing like mad here and 25 degrees F. Might get up to 5 inches, but I hope not. Hope you can find a heater, hagatha!
I have all our tax documents with the exception of the one for the 120 acre family farm hubby owns with his son, daughter and nephew. I will download TurboTax and import most of everything from last year and get started on the taxes as soon as I get that document from the tax preparer.
Well, time to get bundled up and head out to the chicken house and the barn! Good day to make some soup and stay inside!

Good afternoon everyone. I timed my walk this morning between rain showers. I'm enjoying my last cup of WADDB and bagels for lunch. Stay warm for all of you accumulating snow. 🐪 ![wave wave](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave.gif)
