Our tax documents have only just started trickling in. I should have them all by the end of the month. I had huge dental bills this year so it will be interesting to see if I can claim any of it (my dental plan through SFU is terrible).

Good Thursday morning! Hubby had PT this morning and decided to drive home. He didn't have any issues, so it appears I am done with taxi driver duties!

SO cold this morning - 14 degrees F. Got the chicken and barn chores done and I'm warming up by my little space heater!

Indeed the cruise was nice without bad winds. The bad news is that little wind nowadays mean expensive electricity. Because we replaced nuclear power with wind power.

Draclvr. Is that minus 14 F or 14 F? Either way it sounds unpleasantly cold. Stay warm.

Good afternoon Fogfighter, Draclvr, Connie, Gerry, hagatha, Marian, Space Quest Fan and all who follow. Enjoyed WADDB and bagels this morning. Taking care of wife who is sick…meal plannering for the upcoming days while she's under the weather. The sun finally came out this afternoon! Had a "Hope & Recovery Mission" this morning rescuing a tiny Pine Warbler. Wife thought a branch hit the roof so I went outside to check for damage and didn't see damage or a branch. And when scanning near the house I spotted a little bird lying on the ground, heavily panting. He was obviously stunned as he didn't fly away when I approached. So I picked him up, cradled him and checked him out…after 5 minutes or so he firnly latched onto my ring finger and wouldn't let go or fly away. So we hung out for another 10 or 15 minutes and I could tell his gyro's were on the mend, so I placed him on a safe ledge out of harms way. Came back later to find him gone.

We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday but it is sunny today. Unbelievable to me that it is mid February already.

Sorry about that dash in front of the 14, Fogfighter! That's 14 degrees above zero F. Although in my home town which is about 600 miles from here - 300 miles west and then 300 miles north - it was 18 degrees below zero F last night. That's about 28 below zero C!

Glad your little bird made it, soot. Every now and then one hits a window here, but they usually fly off after getting their wits back about them. I did have a huge pileated woodpecker hit a window which broke it's neck. I'm surprised the window survived! I had an office in the visitor's center of a nearby State Park and I gave it to the Park Naturalist to do a mount for their displays.

I managed to get in my walk late morning yesterday...it was 34 degrees a bit misty and foggy, but not slippery after a night of icy rain. CPA has my taxes ready so I'll pick them up this morning and hope to walk when I get back.

Valentine's Day is a day we do not celebrate. My wife's youngest son left us on this day 9 yrs ago from a fentanyl overdose. Those who can celebrate today have a great day and like connie says "enjoy the day and hug someone", tell them that you love them
