You guys sure have chilly weather. Thank Heaven for WADDB.
Over here Mrs. Sun is still absent, hiding behind the clouds. Temperatures on the positive Celsius side but the ground is still frozen and the snow melts only slowly.

Still icy spots here and there. Better tread carefully.

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Hagatha, Draclvr and everyone. Gerry, I walk every morning with Max regardless of the temperature unless it's "pouring" rain. The past weeks the temp's have been in the mid 20s with an occasional wind chill in the teens. It was warm this morning at 38. Yes Fogfighter, thank goodness for WADDB and Connie's treats. That's a wonderful celebration Connie.

Good Sunday morning! Wow, another day above freezing and sunshine! Along with my WADDB, it's good for the soul.

I'm trying to clean out my big chest freezer in anticipation of the beef we are getting in a couple of weeks. Yesterday I found some pork steaks that really needed to be used and did BBQ pork steaks in the oven. Not quite the same as on the grill, but still quite good. I made a cole slaw to go with it and it tasted like summer!

Nothing urgent on my plate to do today. I've sorted out what information I have for my taxes and what information i still need, and contacted the relevant people. Our taxes are due at the end of April, so I'm ahead of the game this year.

It's another rainy day here, not quite yesterday's deluge, but close. Yesterday the power went out and as a result my pond almost overflowed, so I had to bail it out.

It seems like another day of gaming is ahead.

Good Monday morning! It's already 50 degrees F! WOOT! Maybe the last of the snow will melt. Of course, now comes mud season!

Hubby has his last physical therapy appointment today. He was already at the range of motion they want to see last week. Then Wednesday he has his appointment with his surgeon and this knee replacement is behind him. He still has to keep up with exercises and ice if it swells, but at least he's able to take care of the chickens, walk down to get the mail and take the trash dolly down and back up the driveway. Heck, I almost feel lazy!!

Good afternoon everyone; It's 41 F going up to 48 and it is messy out there, going to need a lot of windshield washer fluid for the next week as temps. are going to be in the low 50's, but it's better than the cold snap we just had. Have a great day everyone & stay safe.

Good morning Connie, Gerry, Fogfighter, Judith, Mad, Draclvr and everyone. I remember those days when frequently refilling windshield washer fluid. Spring is trying to sprung down here with temps in the 70s today. Grocery shopping is on my docket after I enjoy another cup of WADDB with a bagel and knäckebröd. Have a wonderful Toosday everyone.

Good Tuesday morning! Another beautiful day ahead... such a relief after the cold, snow and ice. We still might have another winter blast, but I'll take this respite!

Got a last minute message from the Ranch Manager last night asking if I could close again. Naturally, I had just taken my little truck through the car wash the day before! It's so muddy down there. I only had to feed 9 skinny horses last night. Two have come up from the quarantine barns to the main barn. We have a couple of elderly guys with no teeth, so we feed them alfalfa chops which is a rich hay that is already chopped up for them.

Calling to make an appointment for a cat - I probably will come home alone. She was diagnosed with kidney failure two years ago - she's only 8 years old. She's always had good days and bad days, but the last 3 days she stopped eating. She was a feral cat who showed up here pregnant in the winter. Took me a long time to get her tame.

Woke up this morning to what I thought was a lawn mower. Close - a leaf blower. I don't know how it was blowing any leaves around though since the ground is still pretty wet from melting snow. Ah, well.

I may try to give my other brother (not the one who lives here) a call today. He recently spent 10 days in the hospital and now a week in a rehab facility. Not really sure what is wrong with him. He did have a collapsed lung and fluid build up but I don't know what caused it. We have not spoken to each other in a very long time and have not seen each other for over 10 years. We communicate via email mostly and he had told me that he was having some kind of panic attacks. Then a few weeks later his partner emailed me about him being very weak and not eating and getting him to the hospital. I don't know if I believe they are actually trying to rehabilitate him though. We'll see.

Other than that, I'll be at my computer most of the day again, as I usually am.

Oldbroad, I hope you get some answers about your other brother. Hard to tell what's going on, but with fluid build-up, you worry about heart failure. I hope you get some good news.

We use our big leaf blower to blow snow off the sidewalks if it not a wet heavy snow. Wonder what they were using one for on the muddy wet ground!

No answer at the rehab center (room line) or his cell phone. I'll try again later. I've just not had good things happen at those places. Nuff said!
