***When an official press release and/or launch trailer become available I will update the post**
After a long waiit, Asylum is now available!Check out the game here on Steam or here on GoG. From the creators of cult sleeper hit Scratches and the haunting Serena, comes a chilling journey into the darkest depths of your mind.
ASYLUM is an ambitious first-person horror adventure casting you into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute. As an ex-patient suffering bizarre visions, you must explore the intricate layout of the building, research its past history, and march towards a shocking conclusion.
With influences ranging from Peter Cushing to Lucio Fulci, ASYLUM has been meticulously crafted with a strong focus on storytelling and atmosphere. Visit countless tenebrous environments, make your way through a towering, lifelike mental hospital, and solve compelling puzzles to find the answers you seek.
We poured our heart and soul into creating an involving and endlessly rewarding adventure. If you love the kind of slow-burning horror with an old-school sensibility that creeps upon you, ASYLUM will be an unforgettable experience.
A mind-bending original storyline that we somehow managed to keep secret during 15 years of production.
Around 10 hours of gameplay — and that's without learning all the dark secrets!
An atmosphere so engrossing you will almost smell the stench of decrepitude and putrefaction around you.
Exciting challenges rewarding your wit and observation.
Memorable soundtrack inspired by 80s horror films and quite a bit of John Carpenter.
No jump scares! OK, maybe just a frightening handful that will hit you when you least expect them.
Diegetic interface and other buzz words.
Happy Gaming!

Thanks, BrownEyedTigre 🙂
(Got an email today with instructions as to how, as a “non- Steam” Backer I should be able to claim my key …. So it’s fingers crossed 🤞)

dianne, just reach out to Agustin on the kickstarter page. Have you checked your Humble account to see if your key is there? They were delivered years ago. Ana

Glad it has released. There was another game that I was very interested in that took 12 years to release - Prominence. In the end it turned out to be a very good game. I only can hope that Asylum's wait will turn out to be the same and all who backed will get their due. I do have it and both me and my wife will get to playing it soon. There have been some issues and concerns by some that Sensescape is paying attention to. You can check them out along with Sensescape's responses on the discussions board. Patches are inThank you Ana

Hi.
I was sent an Asylum download code for GOG but it didn’t work. I got the message that it was “invalid”. So I let Augustine know.
He asked me to try it again and said if it still didn’t work, he would send me a different one. But when I tried it a second time I just got the the same “invalid” message.
I let Augustine know right away - but haven’t heard anything back yet 🥺
Has anyone successfully redeemed their Asylum code at GOG ??

Has anyone successfully redeemed their Asylum code at GOG ?? Are you by chance Madeleine? If so, I didn't receive a reply to my second message, I thought the second key was fine. Can you send me a screenshot of the error you're receiving at team@senscape.net, please? Several hundred backers have been able to redeem their GOG keys so far without issues. Thanks!

Hello Agustin. And yes, the emails were from me.
I replied to you both times by hitting the “reply” button in the normal way and my system confirmed both emails had been successfully “sent” to the address from which they had been sent.
Also, I’ve been a GOG customer since they first started up many, many years ago and have never had any such problems as this.
I will try and send you a screenshot later but all it will show will be the “invalid code” message again.
Naturally, I’m really disappointed that after waiting for your game for such a long time, I can’t now download it !! So I’m hoping this issue can be speedily resolved.
Thanks,
Mad 🥺

Hi again Agustin. I have now replied to the latest email you sent me with the new code. [And my reply went directly to the address the email came from.] I had logged in to GOG, selected the game and got it in my basket, then moved to Check Out. However, the new promo code was again reported to be "invalid". So I tried with a different browser - as Marian suggested - but the response was the same. Am I supposed to be doing anything differently ?? Mad EDIT : I have only been sent two codes, not three.

Thanks for that suggestion, oldbroad, I will definitely give it a try.
(And thanks to both you and Marian for caring enough to keep bothering 👍)
This “elusive” game is STILL continuing to be elusive .. to me, anyway .. and it’s very frustrating !!

Hurrah !! Your suggestion worked, oldbroad and I now have Alysum in my GOG library 🌟🌟🌟 Thank you (and you also, Marian) SO much !! EDIT : I’ve also emailed that news to Agustin, of course, and thanked him for his patience 👍
