Good Monday morning! After yesterday when it reached over 80 degrees F here, it's kind of nice to be back to a more normal spring like 65 today.
Hubby has already left for his nerve block procedure on his lower back, so I have a quiet house to myself to enjoy my WADDB. Today is actually our 25th wedding anniversary!
Laundry today and then hope to get in another couple of hours working on cleaning out the perennial beds this afternoon.
Fogfighter, that sounds like a puzzle worth figuring out! I've never played Fallout 1 or 2.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning everyone.
Fallout 1 and 2 are loads of fun and were amazing in their day, especially Fallout 2. I hope you get them working.
Off to mail a couple of returns packages and maybe drive up to Qualicum. There's a specialty oil and vinegar store there. I'll get a green chili oil and a 25-year-old Balsamic vinegar, and a couple of different olive oils.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Happy Anniversary Draclvr! Hagatha sounds like a unique store...I don't have a shop here that specializes in oils and vinegars. Another rainy start to my day...hope you all enjoy a sunny day! Gerry

Good Tuesday morning! Woke up to a VERY chilly and VERY windy morning. The WADDB is hitting this spot this morning!
A friend and I decided to reschedule out trip over to the plant nursery this afternoon because it's so cold and windy. She had a landscaper come in last summer and redo her tiny little back yard and is ready to start populating all her new foundation beds with shrubs and plants. We were going to stuff the bed of my little truck with all the plants, but a ride home for even just 15 minutes could be hard on them. So, we'll wait for better weather.
Fogfighter, if you post your adventures with Fallout 1 in our Dark Side Games discussion forum, I know some folks who hang out there who would love to relive it too!

Good morning everyone,
It's a Pilates morning and then I think I'll do a bit of clean up in my garden. It's looking pretty good already, though. I had all the patios and walkways power washed last Fall and my landscaper shaped a lot of my shrubs last month. It's time to put out the patio chair cushions and the indoor-outdoor carpet.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good afternoon Hagatha, Draclvr, Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Space Quest Fan and Judith. Belated Happy Anniversary Draclvr. Wow Hagatha, I didn't know Balsamic vinegar was aged up to 25 years...I guess it has a stronger taste? Have fun with Fallout Fogfigher. It's very breezy down here too but the temperature is spring time marvelous! Wishing you all a Tootin Toosday ![[Linked Image]](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave2.gif)

Soot, the 25-year balsamic is very sweet. I use it in glazes and on salads. You could conceivably use it on a fruit-based dessert. It's delicious. The Green Chili oil is actually made with the green chillies mixed in with the olives when they are pressed. I can use the oil instead of adding chili peppers. Same with the garlic-pressed olive oil. The store sells about 50 different flavours of olive oil and about the same number of flavoured white and red balsamic vinegars. They are so delicious I have to stop myself buying too much. The vinegars keep, but of course the oils will go rancid after a while.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

We have a store just like that here, hagatha. It's a chain and called Olivino. My favorite is the Mediterranean Herb Balsamic. It is heavenly on sliced tomatoes with some fresh mozzarella and basil chiffonade. I also use a lot of their garlic olive oil. I rub it on meats before I season them. One of the best roasted chickens I made was using the garlic olive oil and herbs de provence. They have tastings and recipes for cocktails using some of the vinegars! Those old, aged balsamics are almost like a syrup, but are so delicious.

Good Morning everyone and Welcome to Hump Day! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready...enjoying my first cup! Fogfighteren joy the game! If you get stuck you can always watch a utube walkthru video on it. I spent some time picking up branches in my front yard yesterday...there are so many that have fallen with the windy weather we have had. Lots of twigs and broken pieces to rake up too. Hope you all have a fair weather day with some sunshine! Gerry

Good morning everyone. I haven't gotten to today's schedule yet so for the time being I'm enjoying cups of wide awake double dark brew with knäckebröd and bagels. Have a wonderful day 🐪

Good morning everyone.
I'm off to the dentist for a filling and then to Staples to drop off a few packages to DHL. I've got a wedding to go to in the summer and am trying to find a dress to wear, something somewhere between "Old lady trying too hard to be hip" and "Long purple shiny old lady dress." There's nothing around here worth looking at so I've had to go online, which means a lot of repackaging and driving off to FedEx or Purolator or DHL
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Wednesday afternoon! I had an appointment in the city this morning with an eye plastic surgeon. It takes almost an hour to get there, so I left early. There is a term for when your eyelids hang down over your eyes which I don't remember. I had to wait for mine to become severe before the insurance would cover it otherwise it would be considered cosmetic. So I just had the consultation this morning which the surgeon said I passed with flying colors - for them being severe! Next is some kind of measurement test and then the actual surgery.
Hagatha, I feel your pain! There just isn't much out there in that category!
Guess I'll head back out to work on weeds this afternoon.

Draclvr, I've found plenty of lovely long dresses that would look great, but the one rule I've made is that it has to be something I would wear again, which excludes most of the designer stuff even if I was inclined to drop serious money, which I'm not, given that the wedding involves a plane ticket and hotel rooms. I did find a beautiful cotton dress on sale and although its's black, it's perfect, fancy enough for a wedding but wearable for other occasions with sandals and a head scarf. I think it might be the one.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Oh, that dress does sound perfect! Something you can either dress up or down with accessories.
I think that might be right, Marian, but mine is more than just the eyelid drooping down. Mine has a lot of excess skin folding over which he will have to remove with a laser. I'm ready for it!

Good Morning Fogfighter, connie, soot, hagatha, Draclvr, Marian and everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start the day! Fogfighter I think you should start a thread for Fallout 2...someone here might be able to help you with it. Connie how do you play "music Bingo"? My turn to see the dentist today hagatha for a cleaning, but I know I am having an issue with a tooth...I dread going. Your black dress sounds perfect for the wedding and something you can wear again. Draclvr at our age everything seems to sag and become an issue! My brother had that issue many years back it is good to hear your insurance will cover it. Marian hope all is well with you...always nice to see you pop in to visit in the break room. Soot did you get those chores done yesterday? Hope everyone enjoys a sunny day! Gerry
