Zookeeper, I complained to Big Fish about the download time. They said they'd get back to me and find out what type of computer etc. I have but they haven't yet. It never took this long before and I have broadband.

It took me twenty five minutes last night to download Everest. It may just be a bigger file than others. Ana

Well, I just downloaded it and it took 55 minutes with Comcast Broadband. I have NEVER had a download take so long... even the Nancy Drew's were only 30 minutes.
I liked the old system better.
It's strange because I think (so far) this game is not too difficult. Yet, some of the others that folks here thought were easy I thought were hard... I guess it just depends. The colors are bright and so far no cloudy areas that make objects hard to see. I did have my nose to the screen looking for that paperclip though!
At least the objects look like what they are supposed to and they are visible with the naked eye... unlike Paparazzi where you needed your nose to the screen plus a magnifying glass.
All in all so far I love the game, but for some reason the new download system doesn't like my computer. I like the inbetween games too... like find 20 hatchets, etc.

I have been surprised by all the sites saying that Everest was coming out TODAY, Thursday. I have had it for two days and finished it the first time today. I'm on the second go around now. Answers to some questions---the triangles at the bottom--you are competing against teams. When you find the hourglass--what it does for "more time" is freeze the other teams while you look for items--this lasts for as long as you hear the ticking. The gems--at each search spot--you have three clues. If you find all 5 gyms on each page you get an extra clue. Save them if you can, for once you have found all the items and get to the "extra" puzzle, you can use those hints. The clock--this is a problem for me. Mine doesn't show how much time I have left; I havent been able to figure out how to get the clock to show yet. Now I have a question for anyone who finishes it--if you don't like to know how a game ends--spoilers, don't read past this. At the end of the game, I came to a special page and it said I had not collected any "special objects". I have no idea what this means. I am assuming there were objects somewhere in teh puzzle that I could have found. I am on the second go around and still can't find anything. Nothing online says anything about this either. If you figuree it out, pleas let me know. my email is ************. ENJOY

It said I had not collected any "special objects". I have no idea what this means. I am assuming there were objects somewhere in teh puzzle that I could have found. I can answer that one and I was going to mention it. I don't believe it's a spoiler. Apparently they had added some hidden item special problem. I found two and it said if I found them all there would be a special surprise. The difficult part is that all the objects are there, but it will never be one of the items you are looking for. That should add a little intrigue to all your gaming. I never heard of a pick me, I'm not on your list.

looney and NYL...
I'm not sure if I have the old installer. I think the new site was up by the time I joined. But I may have downloaded some trials with the old site. I do know that I have downloaded a couple other purchased games on the new site and neither took that long...10 minutes tops.
Maybe it's just a really big file. I didn't think to look at the size. If I have a problem with future games I'll email BFG.
I child-proofed my home... but they're still getting in!

Classychick, I just stumbled upon one. Once I saw the page, I looked at what the items were and started looking for them.
The "pick me" was being silly.
Edit.. Classychick, I sent you an email.
Ugh.. Now the email is jamming.

I also found the secret object in one screen. I clicked on a critter I thought was a rat, but it wasn't... it was the secret object. Now what are we supposed to do click on every object we see hoping it is the secret one? I don't get it. I finally figured out the triangles... one for each of the characters. My character came in second the first part, then first and first. Yah team! Regardless of the confusing special item... it's a fun game.

The bar with the moving triangles shows the different "teams", you are the white triangle. I finish second each time. It is timed but they give you lots of time. On the map they say how much time you have. Some items I cannot find at all and have to use hints which just barely help. Still it is an interesting game and new.
Thanks DoreenS I finally did figure that out and was just going to edit and post. Was driving me nuts Fun game! Linda

NYLady, the printscreen Bitmap file can be turned into a jpg on the computer too. Just "save as" and change the file name to .jpg instead of .bmp. Jenny, can you email it to me too? I'd love to have a copy. I only had it pop up once and I wasn't ready for it so I didn't pay much attention. Ana

I have the completed list of items--I have finished the game 4 times now, and have my 20 secret objects. If you prefer not to know, stop reading LOL items 1-4 are in the order they appear in the game. I'm trying to get the rest in order too--and where they can be found
Black top hat (appears in Bolivia) Blue octopus (appears in Brazil) Sword Gray whale ----the rest--- pumpkin, brown helmet (like spaniard used to wear), pirate flag, white rabbit, raven/crow, watch with brown wrist band (actually compass, but looks like a watch), white bonnet (from 1800s), paint brush (with white paint on it), axe, castle, viking ship, white dress slippers, ufo, and the hardest one a black beetle.
A tip to finding them I noticed. Watch your screens and try to learn them. If you do this, the items will seem out of place as they are not usually there.

Well don't I just feel silly. Someone emailed me to say there are only 18 objects. Yep, that's what a college education and a teaching certification get you--the inability to count hahahahahahhahahahha
Happpy hunting You may have miscounted but you did an incredible job reporting them... and it was so nice of you to take the time to help us. What I'm having trouble with is the puzzles... they aren't that hard but when my mouse picks up a piece I have a hard time dropping it so I can pick up another one. If it's in the right spot it drops nicely, but if I'm trying to move them I can't shake them off.

I was having trouble with that too NYL, but I found out that the cursor needs to be on the piece to be able to drop it. The cursor tends to take off on it's own and leave the piece floating along behind it.
