Hi,
Well went back with Grandmaster in Disarm Trap and saw only the one book to click on and no spear anywhere to be found. Its got to be the having a Priest thing in our party so uninstalled the game and that's it.
So how are you doing Pokey?
Hey Sid....are you still playing this game?

Hi, This whole thing about not finding the Spear was bothering me .
Well after finding a map on the hint site and looking at it and finding out that I was looking in the wrong place for the Spear, I decided to reinstall the game and go explore the right place.
I found the Spear and was able to return it even with a Priest in my group. It is possible to have a Priest and still do the quest.
Wow that Spear is really really good. I think it was 38 to something damage and a good one if you have anybody that uses Spears in your group.

Hi,
Don't know which character was highlighted when we got the quest and don't think it matters either. All you do is talk to him and he will give you the quest.
I saw (I think) on the hints site that if you have a Priest that you won't get the quest but that just isn't true.
Make sure the person looking for the book to click on has Master in Disarm Trap because no one will be able to see the book.
I was bringing my Paladin up in Disarm Trap but found out that he can't go that far so instead the Assassin was able to do it.

I have run into a slight problem. When I went back to Frosgard to fight the battles, I thought all the enemies were dead but I wasn't able to rest. That meant I couldn't get any mana back and couldn't use Lloyd's Beacon. Tamur joined us and we died to get to Arslegard. But then Thor wouldn't talk to us--and we still can't rest. Did you run into anything like this? Possibly there are still enemies but I couldn't find any. Still why can't we rest in Arlesgard? The courier did show up in Frosgard to tell us to meet Thor.
Edit: I went back and tried again. Couldn't find any soldiers, so exited town and was able to rest, though it took two rests before we had any mana. Wandered around town for a while and then a bunch of soldiers appeared. After the battle Thor would talk to us and we are heading to the Tomb of 1000 Terrors.

Hi,
No I did not have this problem at all Pokey. Wonder what happened to cause it but am glad you are able to move on. Weird.
I did go back for something in Frostgard later in the game and the soliders were still there but I ignored them.
So how are you doing in 1000 Terrors?

Hey Sid....are you still playing this game?
Well truth be told I got sidetracked and have been on a reading binge the past couple of weeks so other than work, I haven't touched the computer. I hope to get back to it this weekend however. Congrats on finishing the game VH - sounds like Pokey isn't far behind

Hi,
Well in these games for Might and Magic I have run right past a group in many places so it is possible if you know what direction you are running to. Its hard without invisibility and the only thing is to take it slow.
I even went back out the way I came in to get more potions so that is also possible to do.
Once you clear an area out you can rest or just move a little further away to rest.
I found out that a trainer that I already have does work with the newest patch but you have to remember to put it in the game directory for it to work. If you want it I could send it to you in email.
I have played this game both with and without a trainer and it is the hardest part in the game.

Hi, When you get to the last room...you don't have to fight anything. Just RUN to the middle and then to the left wall and just click on the left wall. Don't remember seeing any lever there but that is what I just did in this last game I played.
You can run around them in this way.
If you want to stretch this game out then by all means fight them but otherwise do as I mentioned above. Its up to you. Good Luck.

Hi,
I don't understand why you can't click on the indented wall and get the cut scene. Weird. That is just what I did and didn't have to look for any levers. I don't think there is any door to go into.
My last save is back in Arlesgard so will have to look through my saves to see if I have any at the end of 1000 terrors to check the wall.
You can't teleport or Lloyd's Beacon out either. The only way is to walk out the way you came in. I have done this and was able to go back in and continue.
I checked and don't have any saves inside of the 1000 Terrors area and do not feel like playing the whole area over. Sorry but you are on your own.

Hi,
I do have that game installed and have a few people going. One of my people has finished Knights of Nine and Shivering Isles but the other 2 have not.
I have not been playing it very much but keep it installed in case I get in the mood again.

Well, its me again. I am kind of enjoying M&M 9, but even tho all my characters are at Level 20, they are still having problems because they can't seem to get Expert ratings. This is really spotty and they can get Expert sometimes, but not always. For instance, the main character, a fighter, has seven points(?) in Disarm, but when she inquires politely about getting upped to an Expert rating, the teacher says she needs 4 in Disarm. This doesn't seem to mean that only a 4 will work, because sometimes one or another character will have a 4 and still be told they need a 4. ??? I did put on the official patch and had to diddle mightily to get the game light enough to be able to see in town and still don't know what that's about. I think it's my PC, probably. Still - it would be enjoyable if they could just get credit for all the hard work whacking everything they see. Any suggestions?

You might want to ask in the glitches forum - they are so good at understanding these tweaks!

Sometimes you need a skill level of 8 just to become Expert in some of the skills, or you need to improve the Character Classes

Well, as much as I like this game it just isn't working out! All my characters are at Level 29 and my second fighter is still a fighter. I completed the quest with Keith Bloodaxe fairly early on, but didn't notice that the second fighter didn't get promoted. Now I am really clicking off the quests and he's still in "time out"? There are only so many spaces (I think) to save games and I wasn't careful enough to save any extras on the hard drive. Boy, am I sorry. So, if I want to fix this I guess I'll have to start over? I sure don't want to do that. Any suggestions?
Also, even with the tweaking suggested in the manual, most of the town sites and the sewer are VERY dark. It seems to be lighter now that at the beginning of the game, which I don't understand, but I remember the same thing happening in Beyond Divinity. By the third quarter the graphics seemed normal.
There's so much redundant running around back and forth that I would really like to avoid having to go through all that again.
Would it really matter if I skipped the dern sewer? The Chasm of Death or whatever it's called, is also very dark and I just stumble around HOPING to find treasure and HOPING to whack a bad guy.
Is anyone else playing this game?
Any suggestions of what I should play next? Sorry to be so gabby, but this is very frustrating. The help I ALWAYS get here is so appreciated!
