It sounds like it should be Phantom of the Opera, but that was never made into an adventure game as far as I know. How about Sherlock Holmes: Silver Earring? Mad -- Bernard is adding a layer of challenge, which I like. You first guess the name of the movie/cultural reference. Then from that you guess the name of the game.
