I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I drew a nice big diagram of the picture of the ice pond, 20 squares accross and 10 squares down. I put 22 red cones in the squares shown in the walkthrough. Is this a random puzzle? The ice keeps cracking and I keep falling into the pond. What am I missing here? Thanks, Urabeth

Urabeth to be honest, I thought the ice cracking was just random. Pay attention to the different colors of the ice and mark that spot. You might be able to remove that cone later if it's not surrounded by other dark ice pieces. Good luck

I got the ice pond shoveled off. Prepared lunch. It's now 1:39pm. I went out to Trapper Dan's Needle, Nancy made a comment at the base of the needle. Now I'm trying to go to Chicken Ridge. The walkthrough says to go left and follow the tracks to the right path. Forward to reach Chicken Ridge. I can't go left at the needle. When I turn around and go forward I end up back at the lodge. Someone please point me in the right direction. thanks, Urabeth

Urabeth have you been trapped under an avalance yet? Are you not able to go literally left at the needle and follow the prints? Have you done the ice clearing puzzle at the pond?

No I have'nt been trapped under the avalance yet. I'm trying to get over toward the left of the needle, to do that. I cannot literally go left looking at the needle and I don't see any prints. If I turn around with my back to the needle the only place I can go to it back to the Lodge. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Yes I have cleared off the ice pond and prepared lunch. Urabeth

Urabeth have you worked on the survey for Tino yet? Have you talked to the other people staying at the lodge about the wolf? Did you click on the piece of material that is caught on the needle? It's down near the base I think.

I have talked to everyone at the lodge about the wolf. I talked to Tino. I'm not sure about a survey so I went back into the office and tried to call him again, no answer. I clicked on the piece of material at the base of the needle, Nancy made a comment about it.
Where am I suppose to click to get over to the avalanche? Am I suppose to click forward facing the needle or forward with my back to the needle?
I don't get a forward arrow if I'm facing the needle. If my back is to the needle I get a forward arrow then a left curve arrow then forward back to the lodge.
One other thing, I got side tracked after I cleaned off the pond and the little girl Freddie was throwing snowballs at me, I had to get away from there, then I went to the needle. Do you think that has something to do with me not being able to get over to the avalanche now? -------- I noticed the time was 11:57 so I just now went back inside the lodge and prepared lunch, thinking that may help. It didn't. When I got back out to the needle the same thing I can't go anywhere but back to the lodge. Urabeth

Urabeth, When you completed the ice pnd cleaning correctly, automatically you are sent to the other side of the pond. Did that happened? If not, the pond was not correctly done. At the other side of the pond is the way to the needle. You won't miss it. So recheck that ice pond puzzle and see if you missed one or 2 squares.

Thankyou, Thank you, Thank you, MaG, that did it. I went back to the pond and moved 2 cones, you were right it automatically sent me to the other side of the pond and on to the needle. I can sleep well tonight knowing your there to help us when we get stumped and I was really stumped. Saved by MaG again...Whoopieeeeeeeee!!! Urabeth

I hope someone has a saved game for right after the first snowball fight with Freddie. If so please send it to me, I'm just not good at these kind of things. I have carpal tunnel so my wrist just won't move that fast. Thanks, Urabeth

Thank you MaG for sending the saved games, I thought this was going to be so easy...wrong. I followed your instructions for downloading your saved game and also followed Malcolm Schmidt's instructions. I can't find my save folder for ND White Wolf. When I go into the folder for the game this is what comes up: Ciftree, Sound, Video and Game.exe. There is no Save folder. What am I missing? I'm not doing something right? Thanks, Urabeth

Glad you got the saved game installed Urabeth. I personally think the saves for ND games are now the easiest of all to install. Sue
