The Experiment (previously known as Experience 112 and Experiment 112) will be shipping to retail stores in North America on February 5th.Storyline:Begin your innovative shared adventure in what appears to be a deserted old ship, grounded ashore on a beautiful Pacific island. You mysteriously find yourself in the ship’s operations room faced with a highly advanced panel of controls, surveillance monitors, and a wide array of sophisticated technology. As you watch the monitors for other signs of life, you discover a woman. Unable to find a way to communicate with her directly, you realize that you are her only hope. She needs your help.
The problem is, you too are being held prisoner by an unseen captor. Soon you come to realize that the only way to escape is to help one another. But… who are you? Who is she? Why do you control both your fates? Is escape from this floating prison your only goal, or is there a more cryptic scheme? This upcoming adventure title for Windows®, has a suggested retail price of $29.99 USD and the ESRB Rating is ‘T’ (Teen). For more information, visit the game's webpage at The Adventure Company here.

I just wanted to warn that the system requirements are pretty high for this game. I don't think the requirements listed on the TAC page are appropriate. The requirements given from Micro Application are much more accurate (2.0 GHz processor, 1 gig of RAM, and a 128 MB video card). You can try the demo out for yourself. While it may seem to work on lower end systems, the game will not run without noticeable lag. This is unfortunate for me, as I love the original concept of this game. The demo is really incredible. I haven't seen an adventure game this unique and interesting since Penumbra: Overture (which I also had problems running).

Hey, if you remember looking at the Webpage for this one (demo) the specs/requirements say for OS/Vista (no mention of XP) so I assume it will only run on Vista.....not for me then. Love, Betty Lou

Ispace, try the demo beside the game in the "Latest & Upcoming Adventure Games" section that you can go to on top of this page.
Tried it again last night and the download and the install were OK.
Hope it will work for you.

Aha, yes. Well I went up top here, found demo download (more than 2 hours) and set it up to accept it and went to bed...naturally it was done when I got up this AM. Have installed it and 'launched' it and sat and watched the opening video/cutscene - it runs BUT it is like watching a movie but only one frame at a time - Marie moves with slow jerky movements and using my arrow cursor is tricky, takes forever to get it to where I want to click and then have to wait and wait and wait for its response or reaction. I got as far as wondering what my 'user name and password' are supposed to be and then I gave up, quit the demo. I guess I need the demo w/t to help me get familiar with the game. But if the whole full game runs like this on my computer I am not sure I want to attempt it. I am not sure what my acceleration settings are but all my other games are running correctly so maybe my computer is just to slow to handle this one. Anyone else have anything to say about their experience with the demo and how it ran on their machine? Thanks Love, Betty Lou

Hi Betty Lou. I guess this will be a game that we will have to look closely at the specifications of the game versus the one of our computer. For some, the demo runs OK. For others, it goes like you said, one frame at a time. Why????? Some work ahead for our techs. Maybe. But who can tell how the game will run. Probably better than the demo. In the past, we have seen bad demos, but very good games. Good luck with the game if you buy it. Chief

I think the present video card that I have will prevent me from playing this game.I have an old FX5200 but I plan to upgrade to a Geforce 7900GS that is much faster and will probably allow me to play it w/o any problems. I also attempted the download and 2.5 hours later it timed out and I gave up.

Tried one more time and this time I completed the download but like Betty Lou said the movement is slow and ackward but I still believe,as mentioned above, that my video card is too slow to properly run this game.I fully intend to buy this one but it will be on the back burner after I upgrade my video card. It seems like a very interesting game, love the concept.

Wow, I thought the demo was really really good actually! Well, not the demo per se perhaps but the game, the design... it looks mighty cool and original! It works very smoothly on my computer, but I have a pretty new system so I'm not surprised. It has gorgeous graphics and a really sophisticated control. I like it.
