Betty this is a tough area. Stay as close as you can to the banks on the left hand side. You should get eye cursors when you are nearing any of the landmarks..........Old Sam's rack, devil rock etc.
Just be patient please until you can find what is called jellyfish tree I think.

I am still in the swamp. Have seen all and shot man out of the tree for the crocodiles. Have come upon wooden ramp with a couple of boats. This is where I think I'm suppose to go ashore but am not able to. Any ideas? Thanks. Betty

Betty I remember seeing boats at the ramp where you are supposed to get off but maybe also a totem or two? Is there another ramp anywhere around?
You might want to save a game at the ramp you've found and then cruise around a bit and see if there's another. That way if you get lost, you'll be at the correct ramp.

Joyce, I read that you are near the end of the game so you must have gotten through the swamp.I have been here several days and cannot find the skulls and totums. Think back and tell me how to proceed once I have shot the man from the tree to feed the crocodile. I went to the left many times but after a long time (and no success) Holmes says "this way is dangerous. I appreciate any help you can give me. Betty

Betty,

I moved your new post back to your own thread. It is best that you use this thread to see what help that was given and did not work for you.

After you shot the man, go left of that tree.
Then forward and whenever you see a split in the path - go left.
Keep going forward until you reach that small islet.

Betty all you can do is go to the left side of the jelly fish tree and keep going forward until you find the correct area. It was not an easy part of the game to complete.
Good luck

Sue, Is the jellyfish the same as the one where the men are hanging from? When I go left here I go back in front of demon rock. Is this correct? Thanks. Betty

Yes, I believe that is the jellyfish tree. Give me a couple of minutes and I'll send you a saved game I found. Just check what I've done or not done already please before you leave the area.

I hate to do this but please see if anyone in Glitches can help you with Vista.........I'm really at a loss here.

Elizabeth113 I found this that was posted in Glitches- try and find jout where your games are saved- this might help(hope its ok to post this here
----------------------------------------------------------
Windows Vista does not allow games to write to the Program Files directory anymore. (for "security" reasons, you know) Any older game (XP and before) that did write to this folder has all game save files etc automatically redirected.

You should find these under
C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\<either local or roaming, try both>\Virtual Store\Program Files\<game name>

Yeah, real easy to find.

Newer Vista games "should" be now writing to C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games, but as far as I can tell, very few do, putting their saved games in a whole number of different locations.

Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody

I'm sorry Betty but I really know nothing about Vista's OS other than it's way way different from XP.
If what Winfrey has posted doesn't help you... please ask the people in Glitches if they can help you out.

Sue

Thanks Winfrey

I'm sorry you couldn't find the saved game but I'm awfully excited that you finally got to the area you needed to find. Hard to figure out how you actually got there isn't it?

welcome alucas,

Did you read the paper in the kitchen that showed the code for the bell pull?

Have you read all the papers that needed to be read in the file cabinet in that office?

Betty,

If you remember the entrance to the other cave - there's a panel on the wall before that cave.
Go close to the wall and look for a hotspot. That is the panel that lowers the hook that held the skeleton.

Maybe I am at the wrong skeleton. How do you get from the planks to the correct spot where the skeleton fell. Thanks. Betty

However, The skeleton is on the floor and on a nearby wall there is a small black square with a rope attached. However, when I touch it nothing turns.

I have the lantern on the top right but I haven't been able to locate the hook to put the lantern on. Help with that would surely be appreciated. Betty

Betty,

First you should see and Holmes should say something about that 'something' up there. Then you know what to use the lantern for.
Then you should have the lantern in your inventory.
This is the lantern you need to place on the hook that should be lowered when the skeleton fell.
To find the hook after doing the above, look for the skeleton and look above it.
