They are Secrets of Atlantis and Voyage.

In Secrets I can't get the final puzzle period. I've tried all possible solutions and the opponent always blocks me and makes it impossible. I read both wakthrus and Bert's says his works 9 out of ten well it worked 0 out of 10 for me. It's a shame because I enjoyed the rest of the game.

In Voyage when I got to the moon jumping I just said to myself I don't want to do this so I quit. Maybe it's just me but these two games are history.

You laugh because I'm different
I laugh because you're all the same

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Don't know if this will help oldman but I did not follow-the walkthru- I came down like him- but went left and then down-- it was tricky but try a few more times

Hi oldman...

I found Voyage to be very interesting...I did learn alot about mathematics...I kind of liked the game....Secrets I enjoyed also..Puzzles were alittle hard at times....But it was some good game play at best wave

Hi oldman, in Voyage you only have to manage the jump once between two given points - once you have overcome all the jumps between all the pairs of points you don't have to repeat the timed bit & you can 'hop around all over the place' happily! smile

I hate giving up on games but I have left Conspiracies & 80 Days for the time being - but they are still installed & I may get back to them at a later date. The only one I have completely given up on is In Memoriam aka Missing in January - I didn't get very far but I didn't like it at all! smile

Don't give up on 80 Days, chrissie! It's such a wonderful game, I had a lot of fun. How far have you gotten with it?

I haven't played either of the games that you mention, oldman. I did just recently abandon Indigo Prophecy; hated the keyboard controls and the way the game kept kicking me back to the beginning because I couldn't get past the first section in the cafe... mad

Haha Chrissie - you named the three games I never finished either. I just didn't find them fun.

Hi wave

Rushes, I played the first section of the game - Bombay? & just started the next bit on route to somewhere on a train. I know a lot of people loved this game & because of that I persisted to start with wondering what it was I was missing! - I don't whether you thought the same thing nickie? But, (I'm probaly going to be lynched for this!) apart from the beautiful graphics I didn't find anything about the game to really grab me - the reason being is that the storyline was very weak & lacked the intrigue to keep going. I felt I was running around for no reason - & didn't feel rewarded! Would agree with you nickie - not fun! smile

I also gave up on Voyage- between the jumping and the flower/fruit combos- it just came down the fact that it wasn't fun for me. I also gave up on Darkfall 2, very disappointing cause I LOVED the first one, I just couldn't get into it.

I also gave up on Voyage and Conspiracies. Sometimes I feel bad giving up but there are just some games that you just can't get into. Who knows I may take up Conspiracies again.

I gave up on Indigo Prophecy....drove me nuts to keep going over the same ground over and over again and I hate being timed. 80 Days was pretty as far as graphics go, but I got tired of all the running around I had to do. I gritted my teeth and finished that one. I haven't played Conspiracies or Voyage or Secrets of Atlantis, though. Sounds like they'd drive me nuts, too.

For me it was Dreamfall and Pathologic. I may still finish them, but they were very frustrating for me.

I tried Voyage and almost made it to the end but gave up on a mechanical puzzle with music which I couldn't do even with the walkthrough for help. The other games I haven't played and decided long ago that I wouldn't even try except for 80 Days. I had a change of heart on that one when I saw some screenshots that grabbed me. I have the game but haven't played it yet. I always do a lot of extra running around in games because I get lost a lot even when there are no mazes to stumble through so that wouldn't faze me.

oh, chrissie, I gave up on Missing and just unistalled it - I was so frustrated with those little arcade style mini games...

I still haven't finished 80 days (still installed though)...there are a lot of timed sequences that I have to restart over and over...I was getting a little bored with that sleep

Timed sequences? Ouch, I don't like the sound of that! 80 Days might take me longer than that if I get stuck trying to beat the clock.

Hi Renee & sierramindy wave

I think you have a choice of three modes to play in at the beginning of the game - one of them I think gives you the chance to play without being timed - I just can't remember which one - maybe another GB can help with that?

Renee, I hated those puzzles in Missing! & banging my head on a wall would have been more fun!!! rotfl

I may not have gone where I intended to go,but I think I have ended up where I need to be.

Good topic! This may keep me from buying Atlantis.

I quit on Conspiracies (boring), Indigo Prophecy (controls), and 80 Days (could not get past a "sneak" part in the Japan part (even with 3 other people also trying with me).

Now I'm worried about Voyage which I haven't started yet.

Thanks for this info, Boomers.

Chrissie -- if you play 80 Days on "Tourist Mode" then you don't have to worry about the clock.

The final puzzle in Secrets of Atlantis I got on the first try and it seemed very easy. Sounds like I had beginner's luck. laugh

Hi oldman, I'm starting to feel that way about Agatha Christie's Orient Express. I didn't buy it, I borrowed my brother-in-law's and believe me he can have it back. I've looked all over the place on forums about how to get past where I'm stuck gone through I don't know how many walkthroughs. It's got to be the most frustrating game I've ever played. scared

StarLite maybe you should try posting in the Hints forum if you are stuck in the game. We might just have an answer for you.

thanks texaslady, I think I'll give that a try. I've read every message on here about it, slight problem, my brother-in-law keeps pestering me for the game back. If he takes it back before I finish it, I hope he gets stuck in the same place. It would look good on him. I'll check it out, thanks again.

I really enjoyed 80 Days, once I got used to how it worked. Currently I am working on The Secrets of Atlantis. I'm at the part where you have to solve a slider puzzle while trying not to get caught by the guy in blue. The slider I like but the not getting caught is kind of nervewracking... One other game I started though is kind of just sitting on my hard drive. I haven't given up yet on Nancy Drew - Danger by Design - but it has been sitting idle for a few months now. I am only at the beginning but have to make some tea and found it to be kind of frustrating - so there the game sits. I have since played and enjoyed other games: Myst V, Murder on the Orient Express, Time Stand Still, Tunguska, Al Emmo, and some free games. But I just can't bring myself to get back to Nancy yet. Does it get better? think

Thanks, Becky, it will be the Tourist Mode for me when I get around to 80 Days. At present, I'm playing (or more accurately, putting off playing) Echo! The cave scenes are just not too interesting, nor are the puzzles.
