I could not figure out how to operate the machine in the hospital to make the OH solution...I saved my game with Lea sitting at the console..when I resumed the game..she was no longer sitting at the console & I cannot get her to sit down again..clicking on the arm controller doesn't help either..is this a glitch ? I don't think I can start this game over..it's to darn frustrating...

I'm not sure about the glitch, dian.
Have you activated the machine again? Or click the camera at the back of the machine.
If those do not work - maybe go back to a saved game then. luck

Dian, yes it appears to be a glitch. I did the same thing, and the triangle that should be on the mixing machine, allowing you to access the control panel, has disappeared when you load the game.

I'm afraid that you will need to go back to a previous save to get through this part. frown

If you do go back to a previous save and get to the mixing machine again
Click to reveal..
the things on the sides of the interior of the OH mixing machine are red herrings (nonfunctional). To find how to position the mechanical "arm" look at another part of the inside of the mixing machine other than the sides -- you may have to pan all around with the up close camera to do this.

Well..I am messed up now...I only had two saved games & for some reason, the auto save saved the same game in the mixing room over my fist save..so now I have two saved games at the same spot..I have tried all the different camera angles..still can't get anything to work..does anyone have a saved game for right after the mixing machine? I don't think I can start from the beginning...ahhhhh..I am not enjoying this game at all! thanks all for trying to help...

Sorry Dian but you are further in the game than I am. Hopefully someone with a save will see this request soon.

I only kept the last parts of the game, Dian. Sorry.
I can send you the first group I saved. Maybe it's there and you can check. Tell me if you want that set of 8 files.

I have a save after the HO is mixed -- there's a cutscene kind of sequence that takes over immediately afterwards, where Lea uses one of the computer terminals and says that she has to go to the inhalation chamber, and then walks out onto the outer deck.

The save I have has taken her off the outer deck and into the hallway outside the inhalation chamber.

Problem is -- I can't find where the saved games are kept in the Experiment folder on the hard drive, so I can't send it.

Heeelp.

Hey MaG -- wave

I see the "Experiment" folder in "My Documents", and it has a "saves" folder, but the saves folder appears to be blank, so I can't send an individual save.

Do you think that sending the "saves" folder will work even though inside it's blank? I'm assuming it will then overwrite all of dian's saves with all of my saves -- is that right?

(I'm so bad at this stuff, sorry.)

I think that the saves are unopenable (is that a word?) that is why it looks blank. wave

Dian -- do you want me to send you my saves? If it works, one of them will be right after the mixing chamber thing.

I haven't got to the timed bit MaG was talking about yet, so I can't help you there, unfortunately.

I'm in the bathyscaphe area and having a very difficult time. I need to lift the bathyscaphe and move it toward that huge circle in the middle of the room.

When I go up into a platform with a console, the game gives me a menu that says "lift arm" on it, and under that is "rotate motor c, rotate motor b, move motor a and move motor d." There are bars that look like they ought to be able to be moved with the mouse on this menu. But despite extreme clicking in every possible part of the menu, I have never been able to move the bars or to get anything on the menu to function at all.

Did anyone else have this problem? How did others get the "lift arm" menu to work?

I don't know if this is the problem..but try different camera angles...sometimes it doesn't seem if anything is happening..this is a tough game..one camera will give you a real good view..then you can tell for sure if it's a glitch...I had to start at past saves & do over to get by a couple of places already..ahhhhh

hi Marie..the sensitive password for Andy Leonard (rigoue)didn't work..I also still need the password for Paul de Provence for when you first log into the system...I think bouillabaisse is his sensitive file code..it doesn't work as his password..I feel sanity fleeing..

Thanks Mag...I will try it..I have been using the french translated walkthru without much success..it's not like yours are ! I read you had stop playing this..so now I know I will never finish as I won't get past that dizzy part at the high council until (or if) you ever finish & can send me a save game for after it (I get terrible motion sickness)..anyway..see how indispensable you are..all I can ever say is thanks, since you always figure it out first !!! You are amazing...!!!

Becky, You have to move the slider button from left to right. Here is the engines rotations:
Rotation engine C: Powered the top of the mechanical arm.
" " B: Reduced amounts or the entire arm.
" " A: Manages the basis of arm (forward to backward)
" " D: Manages the magnet to hand the unit (rising & falling).
Be sure to use the cameras to help you with this. It took me quite a while to master this.

slapforeheadARGHGHGHGHGHGHGH!

I just figured out what I was doing wrong. I have probably spent close to an hour clicking on this silly menu, dropping and dragging, clicking, using possible keyboard controls, and have clicked so much and so oddly that I irrevocably minimized the menu into nothing but the little orange bar in one saved game.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong by going into the options menu, thinking that changing the resolution might help, or maybe going into windowed mode. There I saw -- more slider bars. Suddenly, lightning struck.

You're supposed to drag and drop the little white square on the left. ARGHGHGHGH! I kept dragging and dropping the slider bar, which isn't a slider bar at all. I thought the little white square on the left was just...a little white square. I'd clicked on it, but hadn't dragged it.

Thanks marie!
