I'm not sure about the glitch, dian. Have you activated the machine again? Or click the camera at the back of the machine. If those do not work - maybe go back to a saved game then.

Dian, yes it appears to be a glitch. I did the same thing, and the triangle that should be on the mixing machine, allowing you to access the control panel, has disappeared when you load the game. I'm afraid that you will need to go back to a previous save to get through this part. If you do go back to a previous save and get to the mixing machine again the things on the sides of the interior of the OH mixing machine are red herrings (nonfunctional). To find how to position the mechanical "arm" look at another part of the inside of the mixing machine other than the sides -- you may have to pan all around with the up close camera to do this.

Sorry Dian but you are further in the game than I am. Hopefully someone with a save will see this request soon.

Hey MaG -- I see the "Experiment" folder in "My Documents", and it has a "saves" folder, but the saves folder appears to be blank, so I can't send an individual save. Do you think that sending the "saves" folder will work even though inside it's blank? I'm assuming it will then overwrite all of dian's saves with all of my saves -- is that right? (I'm so bad at this stuff, sorry.)

I'm in the bathyscaphe area and having a very difficult time. I need to lift the bathyscaphe and move it toward that huge circle in the middle of the room.
When I go up into a platform with a console, the game gives me a menu that says "lift arm" on it, and under that is "rotate motor c, rotate motor b, move motor a and move motor d." There are bars that look like they ought to be able to be moved with the mouse on this menu. But despite extreme clicking in every possible part of the menu, I have never been able to move the bars or to get anything on the menu to function at all.
Did anyone else have this problem? How did others get the "lift arm" menu to work?

Becky, You have to move the slider button from left to right. Here is the engines rotations: Rotation engine C: Powered the top of the mechanical arm. " " B: Reduced amounts or the entire arm. " " A: Manages the basis of arm (forward to backward) " " D: Manages the magnet to hand the unit (rising & falling). Be sure to use the cameras to help you with this. It took me quite a while to master this. Marie

ARGHGHGHGHGHGHGH! I just figured out what I was doing wrong. I have probably spent close to an hour clicking on this silly menu, dropping and dragging, clicking, using possible keyboard controls, and have clicked so much and so oddly that I irrevocably minimized the menu into nothing but the little orange bar in one saved game. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong by going into the options menu, thinking that changing the resolution might help, or maybe going into windowed mode. There I saw -- more slider bars. Suddenly, lightning struck. You're supposed to drag and drop the little white square on the left. ARGHGHGHGH! I kept dragging and dropping the slider bar, which isn't a slider bar at all. I thought the little white square on the left was just...a little white square. I'd clicked on it, but hadn't dragged it. Thanks marie!
