The paintings would have been better had they been more of a challenge also. The shapes are cut out and the pieces are turned ready to go.

The flashing curser is a pain that I would like to have the option to turn off and use as a hints system.

There are some items that without the blinking curser would have been impossible to find. Those should be banished. grin

I believe that when I hit the Hint button I have given up and therefore I want it to tell me where it is. I despise not being able to find something after asking for a hint especially since you need to find it to move on.

Now...believe it or not, I am enjoying the game. I just see much more potential here then comes across.

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the reponse. I actually played this game in beta from the beginning when it didn't have any instructions. Since then the game has game changed 3 different times.I was able to figure out rather easily 23 out of the 25 escape rooms. I was surpried to see in the end product that they gave you so much information in order to solve the puzzles. I think it would have been it better if that had been left out.

I think the blinking cursor was important in the game because of the accuracy points. It would have been impossible to maintain if it wasn't incorporated. I must admit at times that I really did not care about accuracy points if I wanted to stop looking for a certain object. I do agree that it would have been better if they would have given you the option to keep it on or off. Personally, I liked it on.

I really don't like jigsaw puzzles too much but I know I'm in the minority about this subject. I actually liked having to restore the picture.I think they were trying to do something different rather than the regular jigsaw you see in most games. That being said, it would have been better if you could have rotated the pieces.

All and all I really loved this game. I would have preferred that you did not visit every room 3 or 4 times in the HOG part. The good thing is that you didn't have to complete all the HOG's to finish the escape rooms. You could still get to the end of the story wihout it and then had a choice to go back and finish the HOG's.

I have yet to finish Escape the Museum but my thoughts on it are very similar to Ana's. I really do think I have been spoiled by the escape the room puzzles in Azada and hidden objects in Madame Fate because every game of the same genre I play now just doesn't measure up! (nudge nudge to BFG, hurry up with the sequels!) smile

Having said that, I do think that the game is very good with great production values. It's just maybe a little too easy in parts for me but I would still recommend it to others.

Gamemakers take note. smile

It must be very difficult to satisy every gamers likes and dislikes... hats off to the game makers. Some like the puzzles difficult and some easy. I like the games that you can pick easy or hard, timer or no timer... hints or no hints. You might just be able to please more that way.

I have an observation about the blinking cursor. I have clicked on an object that was very obvious only to lose points because the game decided I was clicking a wrong spot. It's obviously very pixel sensitive. I now watch the cursor to be sure that where my mouse is pointing is being picked up accurately.

I agree Em, I too lost points for clicking on the wrong spot of a correct item. I wait for the blinking now also even though I know I am on the right item.

Hi, I am having trouble with the weights puzzle where you have to get to 476. I managed the earlier one ok But I have tried letting the number go up to 200 twice and then clicking quickly before it reaches 76 but every time no matter what I have done before on the 3rd click it resets back to 0. What am I doing wrong.

Mave.

Mave, I found it easier to do three even weights rather than trying to hit 76. It comes up too quickly.

Try aiming for 3 155's instead (somewhere close to that).

Ana, I have tried several different combinations but it doesn't seem to matter. I have tried two small numbers but as soon as i click for the third time it immediately goes back to 0

EDIT: It's ok I have managed it at last. Thanks for your help/

I am stuck in West Wing Gallery 3, Level 13. I have the Gamezebo WT but for some reason can't get the bow & arrow combo to do anything when I click on the pop up window on L side, have the 3 pieces of wood but the spearhead has as yet to fall!!

Thanks

Mome

Mome, are you clicking the bow and arrow on the arrow in the pop up box?
