Hi y'all! I just started the game and tried to put the pieces of the plaque together by the cave. I just realized that I got the three pieces back in inventory again. Something I am doing wrong perhaps??

Rocking just try to get the pieces to line up as well as possible and they should all stay together.

I read the walkthrough to see what I haven't done and noticed I never fed the pig. I have looked for the pig but cannot find it to feed it. Is this important? If so please tell me exactly how do I find the pig? Nigel just received the ghost busting equipment and I used the camera inside the house.

No, the pig is not important. The pig is inside the door before Bob's workshop.

Is it okay to tack on my request to this thread? If not, apologies!

MaG, do you have a saved game just before Saxton Station on Night 2?

I think I found a glitch despite having installed the most recent patch. After reinvestigating Harbour Cottage and collecting more evidence there, the game keeps looping the male "Christina" voice segment even over Nigel's narrative and changing locations.

I have to look for one, misa.

Can closing and opening the game still show that glitch? Or restart of the puter?
I'll be back.

It's on the way.

Hi MaG, I did try exiting the game completely and it still has the glitch (my save before that is waaaay before where I need).

I think I know what caused the glitch. In Harbour Cottage (night 2) if you take a recording of the hallway, start listening to it but then exit out of listening before it's done, it loops the audio.

Thanks for the save! smile I took your save, took another recording of the hallway (male voice saying "Christina"), listened to it fully and it didn't loop this time.

Thanks agian MaG! smile

Help!!!!

I have gone through the Museum 3 times and cannot get out. My walkthrough says to use the recorder on the Saxton Warrior helmet then listen to the helmet recording. It does not work.

Need a save after leaving the Museum.

Thanks,
Corny

Corny,

That helmet recording can skipped.
Click on all posters. There are 2 or more parts on each posters. Check the ones about Emily, Molina and the mystetious skeleton.
Also check the books in the library again.

Hi MaG

Are you supposed to do anything with the symbols when you look at the Green Book in the Library?? My cursor indicates an action.

My mistake in describing this in one post - it IS a single door.
It is the door right of the path going to the entrance of the church.

I will see if I can get a picture.

----

I'm having trouble getting the nightshade. I've found this door, but I can't find an icon to pick up the nightshade near it. When I zoom in on the door, black vapors come out of it, Nigel says "I must think fast" and either I back out of it or Nigel coughs and is overcome by darkness. I'm not sure whether he dies or not, but he is restored to a point a step away from the door.

EDIT

+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+

Never mind. I found the nightshade Right - Forward - Left - Left from that door.

I was really enjoying this game, until the following happened.

I'm at the point in Chapter One where I enter the bedroom in Harbour Cottage. What I did was to open the cupboard and put the documents inside, and I had also looked at the table: photo album, money, etc. I spent two hours this morning wandering around making sure I had done absolutely everything, but could not proceed. So, I looked at Marita's walkthrough, and indeed I had done everything up to that point that she had described, except:

When I heard the thump and was in the bedroom, I did the thing with the documents and the cupboard first. After looking at the WT, I restored my game, thinking that I would be able to look at the chest and get the key, but there is NO icon available to either look at the chest OR get the key.

I'm going to be really disappointed if the game has this kind of iron-rigidness in terms of the order in which you do things and isn't programmed to allow for this sort of "out-of-order" type of gameplay.

Before I restore to a previous save before I enter the cottage for the first time, does anyone have any thoughts? thanks

Yes - go down and check the main floor again. No need to go back to a saved game. You have not finished this floor yet to trigger the chest.
Be sure that you click on all active spots down there and the balcony. Then go up and you will hear the thumping sound.

I don't know if this will help you Marian, but rebooting the computer may make a difference. It's helped me anyway.

Thank you, Marita. I will give it another go! And, if all else fails, I will try rebooting the computer, Jenny100. evil

I am stuck in the church. I have went over the walkthrough and spoken to vicar found what he is missing, used camera got ghost picture, the pew sound of chopping, the only thing I can think of although I took picture of orbs, you know where, I did not listen to the voice where the orbs are, but I did hear that something was there. I am trying to be discreet so as not to ruin it for anyone. I have one audio tape that now has pew sound, but no extra tape for sound where I recorded the orbs. Was I suppose to take more audio tapes with me in the inventory at the house? How do I listen to the voice where I recorded the orbs? Fixed tombstone and spoke to graveyard caretaker in full. Still won't let me leave, says I need to investigate further. I also recorded the walking ghost in the aisle, and the camera ghost. Please help me get out of this church. Thanks in advance

I'm at a loss to explain this, but a happy ending is a happy ending so I won't complain. smile

I went downstairs in the cottage again, clicked on everything that I had already clicked on, did the same with the balcony, plus looked at everything in my inventory again, and then I heard the thump and was able to proceed. But I didn't click on or examine anything that I hadn't already done before, so this problem will forever remain a mystery. grin

On to Chapter Two. wave

Marian - There are spots down there that should be clicked twice. One of them is the bath tub.

Sherryah,
When you use the recorder, you will automatically get a new recorded on tape if you get a reading.
To listen to the tape - right click it.
Check the tomb, the rector rood and click on everything in the vestry.
Talk to the vicar again, you might have missed a dialogue or 2.
