Really stupid, but I can't figure out how to make the water and sponge come together to wash off the picture in Level 1.

I have collected both the pitcher and the sponge, tried pouring water on the sponge, tried dropping the sponge in the water, tried dropping water on the picture and just tried wiping off the picture with the sponge.

(Reason #1,514 why I stay away from adventure games!)

First you need the paintbrush (in a closeup of cabinet) and then dip into the water. When you are done with that, you can use the sponge. luck

Ok, I've got 2 minutes and some seconds left to finish this dreaded level. I'm in the bedroom have finished the squares puzzle and found the key. Not sure what it is supposed to open, but I think I opened something before and got the coat, so I will find it.

My question is what's with the wig. What am I looking for or really, what am I supposed to do. Is it yet another puzzle that will take up my remaining time? I move the magnifying glass around and click wherever, but nothing happens. What is on the inside of the wig that I need?

There is a label inside the wig, you need to click on it.

Thanks Ana,

I wasted my time looking for a dark hair in the back of the wig. So, I'm back to square 1 of this level again. It's amazing how many time consuming puzzles they have in this one level, and you only get 30 minutes, and because they are all random puzzles, there is no way to get help in getting through them.

Oh well, I'm sure it's not impossible as some people have gotten through, haven't they lol.

Thanks again,
Flo

z00jka bravo Excellent! I hope you had fun.

Flo, did you notice the walkthrough? It's just about done. yay
It is possible to make it through, but I redid a level countless times. When I got frustrated I left it and came back later. It works wonders.

I made it, I actually got through the level this time. They say 3rd time's a charm, but this took at least ten or more tries.

On to more exasperation probably, but it is fun.

Have you changed your gamma in Options of the game to see the items better? It really helps if you cannot see.

widget, here are the moves:

White - W; Black - B.
W B B W W W
B B B B
W W W W W
B B B B B
W W W W W
B B B B
W W W
B B
W

(thanks MaG)

minooka, I wish I had a better suggestion. It was trial and error for me. I would suggest that you play with it after the timer gets taken away so you can study the clues. It is very hard to spend time researching what links together with the clock ticking.

Click on a white and then click on the next open space. If it doesn't work, then it can't go there.
Only one white and one black can usually be moved - those closest to the empty space. It can only jump over one tile.

Is there any way to get extra hints for this game or is it just 3 per level ?

Okay minooka, it is single clicks, you match first a person to the victim, then to a place (each place and person has a different set of evidence). If you get a green line, it's a match. You need to get the all green.

welcome to GameBoomers LK9, it is 3 per level I am afraid. I did not get anymore.

minooka,

Green lines means connection.
You are trying get green lines from suspect to victim to alibi (clock) to an evidence at one of the places.
Once you get all of them connected by the green lines - you will know the murderer, the location of the murder (evidence of both victim and suspect in that area) and when (clock-alibi).

The way I did this is after I got all the evidences and have processed them - do one suspect at a time. Check all the places and the evidences in those places with that suspect. Then see if those evidences connects with the victim.
One and only one has all those criteria.

I will get some pictures ready before the day is over or before I kill the timer.

I was at the end of chapter 4 and had 1 minute 45 seconds to finish and was on the suspect... when I click on his shoe, and other objects nothing happened... then the clock ran out. Then they told me I had to do the level all over again.

Has anyone else had this problem? I would hate to repeat the whole chapter again and have the same problem.

I am running it on Vista.
