Thanks MaG andthehood

Yes MaG that was precisely what I was doing wrong...I neglected to copy the "inner 001 folder" to the installation file.

Thanks to all I now have timed/untimed option.

Once again I am back to happy gaming

Sprite, I had to do it twice, but in 'options' the top one should have something about 'timer' that is where you change it,

in Options/top one,

good luck,

Keep going, the feeling great at the end.

Qiuck question. Does it matter if you downloaded the game from Frogwares, or Big Fish in order to get the patch? In his post, thehood said they were working with BF. Should I wait until BF gets the patch, then redownload the game? Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing, thracia. As I have not downloaded it yet, I'm wondering if we will know when the game has been upgraded at Big Fish?

MaG, as you know I have Vista. I have found the files for sherlock and downloaded the patch. My question is, is this suppose to replace the engine and game pak? Am I to open the 000 file and place file 0001 which are engine pak. and game pak. next to old engine pak. and game pak.? If so it tells me the files will be replaced with new files I just unzipped for the patch. Am I making sense? LOL

I was unaware you could download the game from Frogwares. I would have to say we all downloaded from BigFish. You can use the patch on the BF version.

frogware wrote me back the below, I must be doing something wrong because I can't get new options. Anyone else have vista and can help me figure this out appreciate it.

"You need to copy the folder 001 NEXT to the folder 000 and then restart the game, simple as that

So, does BigFish have the patched version available for download then? If not yet, do we have any idea when? I was going to wait to play this until they do.

I think it was wonderful of frogwares to respond like this! bravo

Ana, My bad. For some reason I thought people were playng this game before it was available on BigFish.(There goes my mind again)

I think I will wait and see if we hear anything from BF. It appears that it may be easier to wait for BF to have the patch already installed, then I could just redownload the game.

Big hugs to frogware, they helped me get the untimed mode for vista. I was doing it wrong and had to create a new folder for new unzipped files created and labeled it 001. Untimed mode now works in option. This is what they wrote below, so others can be helped I am sharing it.

you must have a 001 folder, right click on the archive extract the archive, and then take the 001 folder and copy it

just create a 001 folder next to 000 folder and copy INSIDE the 001 folder the files in the archives

Please email games@frogwares.com as stated in the first post. No emails to BigFish are required.

My9, have you searched in the Help Thread for this topic, or have you checked the Walkthrough?

MaG- May I ask what you used to unzip the downloaded rar-compressed folder with? And exactly how do you do that?
Thanks for your help- I feel rather "tech challenged" at the moment! :-(

I did do that download, and could not figure out how to unzip the file. I was wondering what program MaG used to do so. If you have done it through the suggested program, could you share what you did? I am doing this at the moment! hardwall

Actually nevermind my last comment. The download for 7zip doesn't seem to be working well.

Donnakaren and my9rugrats, please check your email.
