widget, are you just following the walkthrough? Why don't you try letting the game pull you along instead of worrying about what you should have according to the walkthrough? Check every location, if you still have gold dots in a location, there is more to do. When you are done with that, go to office and use the lab, then go to Scotland yard and do everything you can in the 3 locations on the desk. They should all have green check marks when you are done. Then see if you triggered a new dot on the locations.

Things to do

Go to Ricmond St. hideout & do everything there. also try the suspect file(on the rt.) & do what you need to do w. Brian Willis.That should let you get Lord Linbdon's testimony & then you can go to Lindon Hall.

lol widget, they have conveniently marked each location to let you know if you are done or not, so it's real easy to see where you are missing something. Then you can take a peek in the walkthrough if you are still stuck. Enjoy the ride!

Still stuck on the safe puzzle. In the walkthrough,step 3--would pushing the top ball of col.2 be the same thing as pushing row B or am in the wrong place. I'm so stupid about this kind of puzzle that I wish I had a step by step picture of how it's supposed to look. That was extremely helpful with the black& white tile puzzle.

3. Push top ball of column 2 left once.
4. Push column 2 down 2 times.

Yes - the top ball of column 2 is in row B - so push that ball to the left.
Then push column 2 down twice.

i have been on level 5 for 3 days now i can not get the random 10 numbers for the red box puzzle i have wrote down numbers and other things to try and nothing helps any more new suggestions?

I got this puzzle usually in 2 to 4th try.
I do a 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 5.
Then find out which is/are green. Start on one up or 2 up from the first try numbers - skipping the numbers that are already green.
Usually by the 4th try - I have only 3-5 numbers that are still red. From that - I can deduce which numbers still are not used. I enter those with no repetition and I get a solved puzzle.
Try again and good luck.

Got it!

I finally figured that I was miscalculating the position of col.2. When I used the third col.(discounting the single tile at farthest left) the walkthru worked perfectly! Thanks for all the help.

Donnakaren, I tried the link too, and it looks like you need to create an account for the forums (separate from your account that you use to download)

At least, that is what I got. I was signed in and could download but could not access the link. Instead, I was taken to a "Create Account" page.

Hi everyone,

I am new at this and I am not even sure if I am posting the ? in the right place. My apologies in advance.

I am in chapter 5 with 1:58 to go before they let me go on to the next level. The only thing I have left to do is finding the coat in Gordon's chamber. I have clicked and clicked on the one hanging next to the wig but I am not able to get it. Is there another coat that I am not seeing? HELP! I would hate to have to do the number sequence and the string puzzle again! Thanks

I looked at it and I see a mention of a Coat,

Sorry - It is not a coat - it is the tuxedo. Use the key on the drawer and you will get the tuxedo or formal wear that Gordon wore on that picture.

Move the wrapped paintings at right of room and under the window. Take key. Use the key on drawer to get tuxedo.

Yes- I did check MaG's wonderful walkthrough- still couldn't do it after several steps- I guess visually after tiles were moved I got some of the columns and rows confused.
