Hello - been to Big Fish and did a search on patches and found none. I can re-download the game (since I had already bought it) but it says to UNINSTALL the orginal game first, which means i'll lose my progress, right? UGH! The link here for the patch apparently no longer works so I need to email frog whatever? Thanks!

Whitney, I suggest you email Frogwares to see if they can send you the patch. We all used their link, sorry.

Thanks - did that and sent Big Fish an email. Out of I-want-to-have-it-now-syndrome, I gave up and uninstalled it and downloaded it again ... and my progress WAS STILL THERE! And the new unlimited timer! Yikes!

Now, after all that, I am still tuck on the Sitting Room number code red box thingie .. the one you have 5 tries to get it right, so since it's a random solution, having the next 2,569 hours (untimed version) is not going to help me solve it. The available combinations must be in the hundreds. How in the world did you all solve this?? Thanks!

Whitney, glad to hear your saves are still there. The game is much nicer without the timer I'm sure.

I just put in the numbers 0-9 in random order. Then submit. The green lights I left alone. The red lights I moved up by one number (or more if I had to skip a number because that number already had a green light under it.

Then submit and so forth and so on. It took me less than 10 tries to get the correct solution. luck

Whitney, congrats on all your saves still being there and the no-timer too!

That red box was awful and I tried what MaG suggested and also tried what L4L is saying but it must have taken me at least 10 tries to get it. I kept getting 1 or 2 green lights and just couldn't get it. Then you get it and feel great happydance so keep trying.

The string is next.... cry

Linda

Whitney...

Thank you so much for posting about the redownload! praise I was in the same boat, lamenting that I would lose my progress. Even did a search on the computer to see if I could find where this game saves but to no avail. So...in light of your post, I uninstalled and am redownloading from BigFish.

As to the red box puzzle. I wrote down the numbers I first entered. After getting my green lights, I wrote down the second version, circling the numbers that were good and proceeded. That way, I could keep track of which numbers I had already tried and where. After three iterations, I could logically determine where to try the final numbers. I got the solution in four tries.

Hi Max!! wave

So glad to hear that ya'll could redownload and still have your saves.

The green threads are fun--Hubby got them the first try. That must be why I love him so much--he gets all the puzzles that drive me nuts. puppy

You're welcome! It's so nice to actually be able to help someone here instead of always asking for help!

I just solved that nasty little number box puzzle too! I actually made a box in Excel with 1 to 10 across the top as columns and 0 to 9 down each of the columns, started with the 1-5 on the puzzle as someone suggested and kept crossing out whole rows of what came up green to eliminte the possibilities. That way I solved it first time, used 3 of the 5 tries available. When it comes to numbers I have to have a plan - luck is so time-inefficient it makes me nuts. smile The next thing I did was SAVE!!

Help please,
I am Backstage, and I have tried that puzzle in the box so often my brain is mush. I tried to follow the walkthroug, but, no go.

Can you number the tiles, black: L>R=1-5; white: R<L=5-1, and tell me how to move them, Please.

email big fish support and tell them the problem, they will send you a coupon for a free game, along with the apology :)). and when it is fixed you can uninstall/reinstall the updated version.

aqw, there was no "problem" with the game. It was designed with a timer like a gazillion other casual games and the developer was kind enough to patch the game to make the timer a choice. I do not understand why this would constitute an apology from BigFish? duh

In addition to the walkthrough here have you tried GameZebo's?

aqw,

For the black white tiles, follow the letters as seen on the walkthrough.
W for white and B for black. You can only move one black and one white at a time. So you don't need to remember which tiles.
As for direction of movement, white goes to the left and black goes to the right.

Gabesgrama, I had a hard time with that one too.

Move the decoder over the letter slowly until it "grabs" in place. The using the cursor which will no longer be attached to the decoder, click on each of the letters shown.

They will spell out a message at the bottom.

Does that help? luck

If you purchase a game from Bigfish and the developer updates or issue a patch, that is not included in your game from Bigfish, they will research it, and the reply is always an apology that you have had a problem with the game.
Thank you for the link to Gamezebo, forgot to put it in my favorites, when I signed up.
