Thanks LL, Managed the water puzzle too.Could'nt do it with out all the help and encouragement here bravo

I,m having trouble with the solvent bottle in Homes lab. It's to tall. When I click it on the dish on top of burner it hits the main menue button. To the side , it hits the pause button. I managed once before with it, but its so frustrating. Is there some trick?

Need help installing patch. BigFish did indeed send it right out but it got sent to my spam folder! I have the.001 folder which seems to open to 2 other folders (enpak & gamepak?) but I don't know where to go from there. I am relaly incompetent about this kind of thing! Thanks for any help!

Keep that 001 folder close.
Then open My computer, c:\Program Files\The Mystery of the Persian Carpet folder.
Place that 001 folder inside.
Close folders. Play the game.
To change the mode during the game you can go to options and choose the Timed/Untimed mode; starting a new game you are choosing the game mode from the very beginning.

I uninstalled my game and installed again & they give you a choice now of timed or untimed.

It doesn't make me any smarter though. Darn! I have checked & done everythin that I know of, have blue checks & clicked them, but cannot get in ladies sitting room. Also no items showing for the mn in black. Can not get into any place but the office. Please try to help me.

Patsy,

Since this thread has all the other gamers, I can't follow where you are now without more info. What level are you on now?
Also have you clicked on the green checks of the testimonies.

Re:installing patch. I think i have got it right but need to know--how long does it take to copy? Also, for Patsy...when you uninstalled & re installed were you using a Cd or did you get it directly from Big Fish. I would definitely try that but I'm afraid I'll lose the whole game as I directly downloaded from BigFish.

You did the safe puzzle? If so have you taken the feather inside?

Best yet - click on all the items at bottom right. See which one is still is not picked up or still is just a silhouette. Keep us posted.

OMG HELP!!! What did I do? I just printed out your walkthrough for the deduction board so I can say I'm done. I had gone back in at some point waiting for one you Amazing Brainiacs to write it, and changed my gamma settings to the highest I could (again). Now it won't let me back into the game! Well, it loads, but says "input not supported" What does that mean? How can I change it back.

OY OY OY

Thx in advance!

Have you tried changing the setting back x2kul? Is it a windows error message? Does it say anything else?

Hey Tigre!

The game loads, but instead of seeing the game, the little box shows with the message. I have to ctrl-alt-delete or hard shut down entirely to get back to windows. Once I did actually hear the music, but no pic. And OMG are you the quickest replier ever?! You're awesome laugh

Let me check something and be back.

EDIT: x2, I tried to see in the game files if you can change the settings back without being in the game, but that option is not there. You wouldn't by any chance have a system restore point from right before?

If none of those help I would have to suggest writing Frogwares support or the game is really fast to whiz through the second time, delete the game and reinstall with an already patched version. frown I'm afraid I have no other suggestions.

Lindon Hall Office... I am at the squares puzzle behind the safe.

The walkthrough says:

1. Push column 2 up once. Push top ball of column 2 to the left once.

How can you push up column two when the arrow points only down???
Also, what is meant by "top ball" I don't see any balls.

Prices are going up everywhere except in our incomes.

Thanks,Patsy! I did just what you did& verything is fine now. It was easy to do the game over as I had already done it. It was quicker than trying to fight with thqat patch. Now the pressure is off & I can take my time with the dreaded box & string puzzles.

x2, see my edit above.

NYLady, if you go to the bottom row you will get arrow ups. If you put your curser on the square second from the left on the bottom row, you will get an arrow up.
I believe "ball" means the square.

sadi, I am so happy you got it! bravo

sadi, you will get the ring after you complete the string puzzle. A compartment will open.

Did you collect all the sunrays and then place them on the door? It is an automatic solve when you get all the sunrays on the door.
