Does anyone know where the saved games are in Vista? I was sent a game save for that ornery string puzzle and can't figure out where to put it. GRRR!

See if you get a hint doing the Search feature of Vista.
Or check if it is the same as XP. C:\Documents and Settings\your computer's name\Application Data\Games\mystery of the persian carpet\save folder. Tell us if you found it so we'll know too.

I finally got the green string puzzle and am on Level 6 now.

I appreciate everyone's help. If I get stuck again, I'll post.

So many games, so little time! I've been playing Virtual Villagers too. I think I'll start on the Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes.

I'm on Level 6 now and in the storeroom at the Ashton Theater. I can't get the umbrella to click. I've tried about 100 times, but it still won't close the hook. Also, I can't find the knife and I've used up all 3 of my hints.

Someone please help! Thanks.

Call1e, have you taken the statue?

I haven't played this so unless you are just missing a step, we will have to wait for someone who has to stop in. Fortunately, there are lots who have.

Are you using the WT on GameBoomers? The location of the items are marked with red X's in it.

You only need to close the umbrella itself and get it out of the way.
As for the knife - I think that is the one that is the X on bottom left of the picture above.

I think what I did was accidentally close it earlier before I had gotten the statue from the wall hook. I'll probably have to start the whole game over again because it won't let you save the game where you want--it saves it automatically.

Why would you need to restart? THere are no dead end, so you should just be able to carry on where ever it saved from.

Can you not open the wall secret panel (hooks) again with the spoon?

The wall hook space is still open because I closed the umbrella before I found the spoon to open the wall hook space. I can't find the spare room knife, or whatever it is called, either.
