I got this game over the weekend so far I'm enjoying myself but I ran into alittle trouble.
I'm in the gallery looking at the footprints (ones in the blue paint) and the ones in the storage room, I can't figure out how to measure them! can someone help me please?

I measured the footprints that were a size 10 , I just can't figure out how to measure the french shoes !

Hi ancient soul.

Can you see the magnifying glass and tape measure at bottom left of your screen when you crouch down and go into closeup on the footprint?

Pick up the tape measure and hold it to the top edge of the toe, then click-drag down to the bottom edge of the heel (the tape will stretch), and release. This may take more than a few tries (Holmes is picky). As soon as you are successful, Holmes will comment. Keep trying, you'll get it.

YOu know what I am also playing this game, if I remember right,
the tools we can use are displayed, I am not sure that there was
a tape measure for the french shoes, only a magnifying glass,
also one thing I missed there is more than one thing to measure, and look at at each one... I didnt finish this till I did all the feet prints that were available to look at with the tools, hope that helps ..

Hi i was able to figure this part out! Now I'm currently at is the london tower. I'm right where the chief leaves and tells you not to beface anything, and your sherlock again, what am I suppose to be doing?? thats where I'm lost.

Look at the graffiti on the wall at right side of the main gate.
Then the Chief Warder should come and talk to you.
The other one is just a Warder-guard.

so that gate that your standing at (can't get any further) you look at the actual gate?? I looked at the walls (what you can see) saw no grafitti

If you are at the entrance turn right and look at the wall. It may be hard to see because of the subdued lighting. Also its old grafitti so it won't be outstanding.

so you mean the wall outside of the entrace right?? or do you mean the wall by the bars (where you can see and sherlock says im a detective not a robber??) I'm just making sure thats where your talking about

No - right by the gate itself - there are graffitis (as Kay and I mentioned). Those you need to check.

Hi Im in trouble again lol, I'm looking at how many birds I caught, one from the shrubs, one from two trees (had to use a canvas bag to catch it) and the one from the storeroom,
I was reading through the walkthrough about a bird in a tree having to use a telescope (around white tower) I think I caught that one but didn't use the telescope did I screw up my progess??

You won't have messed up your progress. Did you identify the bird near the White Tower and did you use the female wood partridge bird call?

Hi, now I'm totally confused, I did the part with the latin and talking to matcafe. the last I remember was holmes telling watson he was in charge of translating the latin and i am still sherlock, I only have 3 birds, I don't understand what ones Im missing I know theres one parrot on ramparts (not doing that part yet) and the one in the dungeon what other one is there??

Don't be confoozled. If you're already checking against the walkthrough, does that not help you identify which birds you've seen and which you haven't?

The bird you spy with the telescope is the one with which you use the partridge bird call.

There's also a bird in the Storeroom.

The walkthrough gives a detailed description of each bird and location, take another look and see if it helps. You might need to revisit each location to clarify.

I think I got the bird from that tree, the whistle is gone and when I go to see if I maybe missed it I can't grab any of them.
does that mean I have that bird?

Very probable that you already got that bird using the bird call.

I just bought Sherlock Holmes Nemesis and I am having problems getting the ladder. I have replayed the game and I'm not getting it. I went as far as doing the walkthrough and still having no luck. I may not paying attention to something but I can't figure it out. Very nice game by the way.

The ladder will appear only after you checked all the footprints and all the active spots.
You have to measure and/or use the lens on ALL the footrpints.
Holmes will need to comment on all of them. If he doesn't then you won't move forward to the next step.
If you have the walkthrough, go back and check all of them again and check off the walkthrough so that you know that you have done all of them.

As I stated in my post that there was a possibility that I didn't complete something. I would like to thank MAG for your help as I found my problem. It was the footprints on the stairs, I didn't complete the tasks with the magnifying glass on ALL footprints. Again thankyou.

hi Im having problems agaiN! I'm in the reading room at the british museum trying to find the book with rock sea forests it says its at section c row 4 column 5 I can't find it!
I even went down each one can someone help me please?

The areas are labeled by letters on signs that separate bookcases or on top of the shelves.
Each level has 6 rows of books and there are 12 columns of books per area or letter.


Section c row 4 column 5:
Go to section C, the count off the fifth bookcase from the left.
Then count off from the bottom 4 up.
Look close

Then based on the clue - Measure the books: Get (click-hold-drop) the 3 books (forest, rocks and sea on the title) and stack them on bottom shelf. Use the tape to measure from top to bottom. The 3 books are 17.20 cm in height.

OK, I need help again. Probably something I didn't do again and can't figure out. I got to the 2 identical paintings. 1st According to the walkthrough I'm supposed to use the magnifying glass on both, can't do it. 2nd I saw what's his face with the painting on fire but once I click on it with the magnifying glass he disappears!! 3rd I can't use the light to find the letter I. Hope someone can help me, what am I doing wrong??
