Do I understand correctly that you have NEVER found the TOP for the Crystal Pot? If so, this might indicate that the file or code that represents and/or displays that particular object may be corrupted or missing from the game files as installed on your computer. You might want to consider completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game before you bother to play again from scratch.
Also, I suspect that uninstalling and/or starting a new game wipes out all existing save files. You might want to copy your current saves to a safe place before you take either of these actions. If reinstalling the game fixes the missing Top problem, you MAY be able to continue play using your existing save files.
If you decide to try the set of old save files MaG forwarded to you and it is unclear to you how to do that, let us know and we will try to help.
Good Luck !!

Hi all
Susan, I did look directly in the top of the nest and you are right about getting just the right angle to get up there. Also, there are 2 cupboard doors that open in the library; one is a single; the other is a double door.

Pete, I had the top at one time, but during a 'brain [blip]' tried to capture the wax Ixupi with it and lost it.

I want to thank everyone who has posted; wel-wishers and those who gave me help.

I started a new game, under a different name, while saving my old one. I got about 1/2 way through and while I was in the clock tower; got an idea. idea While I was searching the new places people told me about, I would put my inventory piece in the space where one would have been, just to be sure I was looking in the correct spot. (I never did find the spot in/around the toilet.) I did not do this for places, that I had found on my own; just looked and left. I saved and went back to my first game and the clock said 5:35 and the face was different - I reset the clock and broccoli there was my top.
I honestly thought I would never get to see the finale -- but I did; about 3 minutes later. Now as long as I have started a second game, I think I'll see if I can beat my first score, before I start Shivers II.

Again, Thanx to everyone. As I use walkthroughs from this site, when I get stuck, I don't use the forum very often (the walkthroughs are great!), but when I do, I always find very friendly, helpful people.

Hi, anderbauche!

I'm glad you were finally able to locate that elusive crystal lid. If I'm reading your post correctly, you rehid it in the Clock Tower and then forgot about it? If memory serves me correctly (and that's not always the case laugh ), I believe the puzzles automatically reset themselves after you've solved them, so if you rehide your pots and lids in any of those locations, you have to solve the puzzle all over again.

The Ixupi hid it there, after confiscating it from me, when I tried to catch him with the wrong container.

Thanx Rushes

Everyone enjoy the Holiday - Happy gaming
