Mine has no light nor hole. It contains both the DVD and CD version. Was that a later release?

Colpet -- it might be a later release. But I think it's also possible that, when they shipped the original boxes, they didn't want every box on the shelf flashing red. lol Maybe they only put lights in a certain percentage of the boxes, in case some customers wanted a less flashy box.

Hi, colpet!

My game came with both the DVD and CDs, but I must have hit the jackpot because the box also has a flashing red light. I guess the boxes with the flashing red lights were shipped randomly to the various stores.

I bought a little paperback book of "Evil Under the Sun" from Amazon and stuck it in the game box. So now it's like the others.

Hi Jenny wave I think that is a good idea. It still would be nice if they would include them in all there games to come.

My hole in the box looks like it has had a light removed - there is sticky residue on the inside of the box.
You know don't you Becky that now I know this, I have to get a flashy one. Curse you!!

lol My light has never worked. I found out what it is by posting here at GB and asking what the electonic doodad thingie in the box might be -- a fellow member informed me that it once had been a flashing light.

I'm actually quite surprised that any of the lights still function.

Would you lift the curse if you found a box with a dead light? Or only if you found a box with a functioning light? grin

Remember the game "Evidence"? Came in an evidence plastic bag type thingie. I didn't buy or play the game. Seemed to complicated, but the packaging was unique

Remember "Beneath a Steel Sky"? The beautiful cardboard box has a cover that looks like rusted texture. The game was not bad either.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to join in (haven't been around in ages and it's because I was tempted over to the Darkside and have been playing Oblivion again since May!) and mention another box, although the game isn't really an adventure one. I liked the original box for Stonekeep. (RPG) It reminded me of a headstone and had this sort of silvery, 3-D kind of picture on the front. Of course, that box is long-gone, but I'd love to find one like it again.

Sigh...
