Great news!!
***Download size: 354MB*** Sure is small. Is this an episodic adventure?
Doh!! I can't believe I didn't see in big bold print the word demo! My bad.

Just finished the demo, here are my impressions: Visually, the game looks very good. It is a pre-rendered, point n' click node based game (like Myst). Although I recall the 4-years old Myst 4 looking better, this game still looks good enough. From the looks of it and it's design, the game looks promising. The plot seems complex and deep, and rather dark. Notice that the demo contained some timed sequences. I know many people here dislike such things - and if that reached the demo I can only guess there will be more on the game itself... Still... the game looks good. I'll see if I want to buy it after I see other people's review of the game itself.
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Ana, I am thus far impressed with what I am seeing in the demo. However really stuck knowing how to make a picture of the dad. Is there a walkthrough for the demo? Congrats on the people who figured out how to progress to the end of the demo. Please give me your secrets. The only thing that concerns me about the demo is it is in first person and the scrolling of the mouse movement is making me a bit queasy. I try and move it the mouse very slowly. I couldn't find the controls to see if I can get a stationary mouse view. does anyone know how to slow down the mouse movement to prevent motion sickness? I hope the released full version will take this in consideration. I really like the main characters voice. Sherryah

Sherryah and Tomer Thanks for your impressions of the demo. Sounds promising, but really wish there was a 3rd person option. After all the work that goes into making a game you would think more companies would be following Frogwares idea, which is an extremely good one, of having both perspectives available. So wanted to get this game.

I agree with you Anne. This motion sickness problem has to do with the way the camera pans and i knew from the start of the game to move VERY slow or i would be The storyline is intrigues me and that is why I asked if anyone knows if the full version will have a control option to pan very slowly? Since it is only the demo I am playing, I can only hope someone will give me the information before I pre order the game.

Regarding the timed events in the game - L4L found out in her interview here with the developer: There are about six “time driven” sequences in the game. But we have tuned the difficulty in a way that no one should be stuck. If you miss a game play, the game offers you a help, then a second one and finally lets you progress.

This is wonderful news! Being stuck in a puzzle has ended many games pre maturely for me.
Does anyone know if there is option to slow down the mouse panning to avoid motion sickness? I really want to pre order the game from Interact.
Also I have been trying to find a forum where hints are given for the game, I am stuck in the demo. Does anyone know if there is a forum where the demo hints are being given? Thanks in advance.

Ascovel has a point. For those who played - there were two non-inventory based puzzles. One was ok, although a bit silly - painting his dad. The other was rather terrible, because it had no justification - breaking the wall using "5 hammers". I mean, the logic in the puzzle is nice, but I hate the fact that they don't bother justifying it in the game itself (why would I have only 5 shots? Why would the wall rebuild itself afterwards? etc...)
Btw, the timed parts were also reasonable because when you die, you are transported right back to the beginning of the current problem. Meaning: if the timed puzzle is made out of different parts, every time you solve something, the game saves your progression, and loads the game there if you later on die. So it's not really horrible. Just a bit nerve wrecking I don't have problem with timed scenes anyway, I think they add to the realizm, if they're not too tiresom.
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Just want everyone to know I finished the demo with Tomer's help. Tomer. The puzzles were not easy but I must admit I had fun. I pre ordered this game from Interact and learned how to move the mouse slowly and did not get stomach one time. Really had fun and hope others will try the demo. I saw where they sold gold and after playing the demo understand why. If this is the future Sure don't want to be alive when these things happen on earth.

It's in Paris, isn't it? So as long as we stay away from Paris, we're fine. (though I really love the city!)

Sherryah, there is a way to decrease the mouse sensitivity in the options menu, not separate panning though.

I agree Marie as long as you know what to do to evade him. otherwise you are his lunch rather quickly. I got eaten alot until I knew what to do. The game reminds me in a good way of a oldie called Bladerunner. I loved that game. Does anyone know if Nikopol can be purchased as a download yet? Really looking forward to buying and playing more than the demo. The voices are very good also and storyline intrigues me.
