Thank you Slydos. Every time I learn something more about game creation, I'm in awe of the great complexity & difficulty involved... and all the more appreciative of them, and of the end results.

Me too, Carrie, me too!! And it's so easy to criticize what we think is wrong with a game, rather than what is right. I try to remember this, always! smile

I seen the links above for Dead moumtaineers and if someone wants to read it and can't read french go to google and get translate language on their google toolbar and then you can go to the translate page and there is a way of translating the whole page by cop[ and paste it in the area provided. Anyways I just thought I would tell about this in case someone wanted to read it and did not know about the translator on google have a great Day. Trisha

The screenshots all 111 where just great. But when I did the translation and read the review, I was certainly disappointed, because the game sounds mediocre. Hopefuly they will do a lot of changes before the the game is released here in the US early next year.

slydos and Marian thanks for your opinion on the game wave

Hi smile

What Marian said higher up in this thread goes for me too !!

"anyway; I sure have seen adventure games that I enjoyed get slammed by reviewers."

It's very rarely that I won't buy a game just because a reviewer somewhere slated it grin

Cheers.

I agree there are a lot of us that turn to walkthroughs too quckly. I don't think the gammers are totally at fault here though as there are a few games that don't have enough hints. This is a very hard thing for developers as too many hints and the gammer will say the game was too easy and not enough and he/she will turn to a walkthrough. I think in the old days before the internet they were better at giving hints than they are now because they know there will be walkthroughs. I don't believe anyone should start out a game with one as they ruin the fun of exploration and sometimes the story as well. I never look up one until I have been stuck for a most of an evening and them I try to get only what I need and put it away.
